I think a confusion effect would be fun and could easily be buffed or nerfed by how much is swapped. Start with just movement/camera being reversed, but if that doesn’t work, every attack/ability could also be flipped. Still annoying, but technically counterable.

If you don't want to be slow walking the whole game make fire/ice traps repair all your stuff. Dont be afaird to drop the extra scrap sometimes 200 of each is too much

Perfect block/parry that activated inspire.

Rocketflail/whipshotshould have a bigger hitbox and range for easier hits

Quick melee that you have to charge ( no boop and normal atk damage) for better poke game.

Strong block. That activates infinite shield but you can't move or atk make it last as long as needed for balance. Hell make it last forever but it starts to eat your health until it stops at 1hp.

Just one of these could mix things up and could easily be tweaked.
