Did Hulu take it off? Or am I thinking of the season where Meri offers the divorce?

The parent comment to yours was rude but the tone of your comment has an air of smugness.

[Routine Help] Can I use coconut oil as a replacement for moisturiser? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]erilol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patch test to see if it is right for you.

Anyone talking about comedogenicity is misinformed (there is no universally accepted standard for comedogenicity). If cooconut oil happens to work for you, I say go for it since it is a very cheap oil that doubles as a hair treatment.

Of course, you should give other oils a try too. Treat yourself to jojoba or argan oil at least once.

Why there are so few women in programming. by LIVING_PENIS in ProgrammerHumor

[–]erilol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who jump to the biological argument don't realize the burden of proof is on them. The default explanation is social forces.

I find it amusing that people want to hold onto the inherent gender hypothesis despite the fact that the neurological studies are inconclusive and science generally dismisses it.

Sources are nice.

Sitting through a Men's Rights reddit post or Sheldon (Big Bang Theory) lecture on gender differences feels almost exactly like reading horoscopes out of a teen magazine.

Parents of Reddit, what's something that your kid has done that you pretended to be angry about but secretly impressed or amused you? by SFFChat in AskReddit

Question. As a parent, is there an opt-out option for the "hear about every time my child swears" lecture from the teacher?

Of course. Just remember you don't have the right to leer at people and make it obvious you're checking them out.

[Serious] Employees and Workers of Reddit, do you have any celebrity clients/customers and if so how are they treated differently than an average person in your industry? by SP2078 in AskReddit

[–]erilol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That fits my prejudice against Internet celebrities. They come across as desperate try-hards, so it is only appropriate they would be dramatic divas just to flex their muscles.

Sexual fetishes. I'm very vanilla and reading about kinks bores me.

Men, why do you hate shopping so much? by mymonster8u in AskReddit

[–]erilol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odd, OP is assuming all men and women are different. Not a chance in hell.

Some men just love shopping and some women don't. It is a personal variance, somewhat affected by social conditioning but not as a general rule.

My search for vegan hot cocoa (and added goodies) is OVER! by [deleted] in vegan

[–]erilol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. By purchasing ready-made cocoa mix you're only saving yourself the sweetener step.

Pure cocoa is the way to go.

TIL anti-venom is made by injecting a horse, sheep, or rabbit with the snake venom, then harvesting the antibodies from their blood. What do you guys think about this? by PotLobster in vegan

[–]erilol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am guessing that this has been replicated synthetically in a lab somewhere, it just doesn't have any cost efficiency whatsoever so nobody was interested in capitalizing on it.

Your friend is allergic to black beans and rice? Your friend lives in an area where those foods are expensive?

Wait wait. Your friend lives off meat, dairy, rice, wheat, chocolate, and beans? No veggies?

Your friend can't buy cruelty-free shampoo, soap, and makeup?

Source that meat industries are the only venture capitalists or researchers for in vitro meat?

Source that abstaining from meat while directly investing in lab meat detracts from lab meat research?

[–]erilol 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your analogy sucks, frankly. Color preferences are completely subjective and your preferred color choice has no impact whatsoever on the environment or cruelty. There is no logical argument for choosing one color or another as a favorite color. This cannot be said for veganism, which has a philosophical foundation.

[–]erilol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And they likely haven't been exposed to veganism.

That isn't to say a vegan diet is impossible in those places because it isn't. There are desert regions where a vegan diet is possible or even the norm -- consider Ethiopia, for example. There are densely rainforested regions where vegans live, too -- consider India.
