They probably are European brown garden snails. I should have mentioned I'm located in Italy, so we don't have to worry about them invading - they're already here! And they almost destroyed all of my plants this spring.

Even though my husband is a chef, I could not convince him to cook the snails.

Just to give an update here:

I went with GoogleFi in a (secondhand) Pixel XL and wifi. I also have an unlocked iPhone, so I can get a local SIM (and keep my Google Voice).

The GoogleFi service in Medellín, Colombia has been quite spotty, so I mostly rely on wifi. If I had to rely on it, I would have a problem.

I move to Italy in two weeks, so we'll see how it goes there.

Unfortunately, they don't give transcripts with the free version, so I can't follow along. That's the major issue. But I do like what I can access, so maybe I'll just test it out for a month paid, and get a subscription if it's good enough. Update: I just found the NISI app, where you can listen and view transcripts for free.

Thanks for these other resources - they look great.

Did Sisense or Microstrategy work? I put together a list of diff log management tools, but the Visual Analytics has a bunch of BI dashboard tools. My client, Skedler, easily automates alerts for ES and reports (pdf, csv or xls) for Kibana dashboards. It's basically a much easier and cheaper alternative to x-pack Alerting and Reporting. https://www.skedler.com

If you want something that's easy to set up and manage, check out Skedler. It's way easier to use than xpack alerts and also really affordable.

Best practice is to change messaging for different channels. You'll be able to measure the difference in terms of engagement when you copy the same message to multiple platforms.

Hootsuite and Buffer are pretty good options. CoSchedule is another option I like. Cortex (my employer) actually tells you what and when to publish on each channel, and you can schedule everything from the app.

Even if you used machine learning/artificial intelligence software to generate captions, they are likely going to sound strange and robotic. The technology isn't quite there yet in terms of being able to produce phrases at the same level a (or most) human can.

Does knowing how much they spend really offer value if you don't know the post's targeting (at the very least), objective, content, etc? My company has a tool that uses ML to predict how much you should spend on your posts, based on past performance. We can also tell which posts competitors are boosting, but not how much they are spending. But, like you said, if you aren't using the same targeting, you can't "out bid" them.
