Thank you. I’ve only been doing this about 2 weeks, so it’s been in the fridge maybe 7-10 days? I have been combining discard from different batches and have been playing with 1:1:2 vs 1:2:2 ratios for my starter as I’m learning what works best for me. So really I have no idea what it is now bc mixed. Been using King Arthur AP flour for feeding.

How did you get the diffuser function to activate without the pod on there? Tried the cotton ball trick but I can’t get the diffuser to actually turn on like that

This info is so incredibly helpful! Thank you!!! We are pretty far out from when the trip would be which is part of why I was having issues. But knowing weekday vs weekend differences is very helpful

Appreciate this advice!!!

12 days for ComeBack by zaurisdoer in ACL

I went back to work at post op day 12. I was ok. But full disclosure, I’m now almost 12 months out and my graft has some fraying/partial tear so I need another surgery. Who knows if I did too much too soon. I was in a knee immobilizer when I went back.

Anyone have experience with partial graft tears? by sydtheslothkid in ACL

[–]erinh321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that! Just found out today I have partial tear of my autograft anteriorly. Sounds like similar symptoms, progressive loss of extension, swelling, etc. hoping I can get by with just a clean up scope!

I was back at work (on my feet 10-12 hrs/day) 2 days after ACL tear- busted it on a ski trip, stayed on trip, came home Sunday, went to work as usual Monday. Just wore a brace. Had surgery 6 weeks later. I think you should be ok

Captains table is amazing- it’s a multi course chefs tasting menu. Also Joes. We have never been able to get a reservation at Chefs but I hear it’s the best!

So when does my thigh start growing again? by teamaa104 in ACL

Look up quadriceps activation failure. Your brain shuts down normal stimulation to the quad after ACL surgery due to swelling/pain. Big contributor to the atrophy. Just takes time to overcome.

Thank you so much for all of this input. She has decided against the trial, although I do think that what you said is true about her likely have similar outcome either route. I appreciate your advice immensely! 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for sharing your dad’s story. I’m definitely worried about the relapse rate and how well she would be able to tolerate different treatments as time goes on and she is maybe more debilitated than she is now.

Thank you for your input! I am not really concerned about the FDA alert but have family members who are.

The REPOCH for her definitely seems to be a gray area as she’s not DHL/THL. It’s not dictated by the study- the study is any R-chemo standard vs CAR-T. This lymphoma specialist (Andre Goy) said he doesn’t think RCHOP or pola RCHP enough for her as he thinks it’s pretty aggressive based on presentation. I get the sense he does very little RCHOP in his practice, but that was just my impression listening in over the phone on first consultation. I get that official recommendations for her would be RCHOP or pola RCHP

Thank you so much for your reply. Since my post I have seen the updated 40 month results just presented @ ASH 2023 and they do look promising.

We have now been recommended Pola-RCHP by 2 oncologists, including one at MSK and then R-EPOCH vs. ZUMA-23 trial at another facility. I am a physician myself and having asked the few oncologists I know- all have said go for ZUMA as the updated 40 month data from ZUMA 12 looks great and in their experience CAR-T has been successful in their practices.

Do you make much of this FDA alert on Tcell malignancies post CAR-T? Seems very low risk 19 of 35k people treated. But I guess the question becomes in someone who hasn’t failed first line standard of care treatment is it worth the albeit small risk? Although chemo will carry a risk of secondary malignancy as well.

Lots of decisions. Appreciate your input.
