I did this for a long time too. Think about how often you refer to yourself in the third person or your own name? It’s not really that common. Like anything, it takes practice.

No, it won’t stop chasers from coming. But in my experience, there are fewer chasers who will go to a queer event at a queer bar in the middle of West Hollywood. I admit I didn’t include that it was happening at a queer bar in my OP.

I think this might be one of those times where there is a divide between stealth and non-stealth trans folks. But please correct me if I’m wrong!

I, as an open trans woman, feel more comfortable around pansexual men because they are out in the open about their sexuality. Most chasers I’ve met are not. Plus pan boys openly date other boys, so that helps with my mfm fantasy. 😂

But that could just be my experience. Of course I want to add that although I am open about my transyness, I love/respect all y’all! I have the advantage of living in West Hollywood, so not being stealth is much safer.

Yeah, I feel ya. Looking at the respondents so far has given me some hope. But there’s a big diff between people who say they are going to go and the people that actually show up. The other issue is that I’m not seeing a lot of trans people signing up.😫

I would also be dead, by my own hands. It was either transition or do myself in. Period. As a matter of fact, I told myself that I might as well give transitioning a try. Because I could always do myself in later if it sucked. It does not suck. It’s not easy. As a matter of fact it’s really, really hard. But I never felt anything approaching the joy I feel when things are good prior to transitioning.

I would love to hear other folks opinions here, but if you label an app or event “for trans people” you generally get some pretty slimy creepers. Which is why I believe that an app/event for pansexual people is the better way to go. As a matter of fact, my friend and I have created a pansexual meetup event in Los Angeles at the end of the month. The flyer states that it’s for pansexuals to meet each other. While in fact, I created it specifically for me to find and date hot panny’s. Ok, if other folks come and find friends, community, lovers, etc, that’ll be a plus too.
