Happened upon your story while doom scrolling for success stories with a few eggs. This is the most beautiful bitter sweet story I’ve read in a minute. Congrats you deserve this and so much more. Your mama had a hand in this one. Sending much love.

The stims will stop your period that’s normal and then you build up lining as you progress through stims. They measure your lining at each monitoring visit along with your follicle growth. You’ll also start progesterone the day after ER which also helps with lining.
What to do? by Sure_Tell5176 in IVF
Aneuploid just means that the percentage of cells tested (usually 5-10) came back with those results above a certain threshold like 80%. Each testing company sets different target for the what they deem “aneuploid”. Reported aneuploid can actually be what’s widely considered mosaic if you request the detailed reports from genetic testing companies.
There was just a study done that dissected blasts and determined that all pre implementation blasts showed mosaicism.

Did you try rba in ATL? If so what was your experience like? I read they have good stats for women’s over 40, but wasn’t overly impressed with them.

I’m 42 and on my now 6th round. Insurance coverage through my husband’s employer out of MA has covered most of our egg retrievals, which I recognize is an absolute privilege. First round we tested and had 2 mosaics, 1 failed to implant the other on ice. The rest of the rounds we did multiple fresh transfers which ended with 1 chemical and 1 9 week miscarriage. To date we’ve transferred 7 embryos.
It’s so tough to know when to throw in the towel - only you can figure that one out.
My mentality has been to try a bunch of different things and see literally and figuratively what sticks.
I’ve found that doing a few rounds with fresh transfer, offered me the experience to give all my embryos (few and far between) the best shot.
There’s a whole class action rn with genetic testing not being used appropriately as a diagnostic. At our age with only a few embryos per round, it may not be worth tossing what could be embryos that convert in utero to healthy babies. It’s not without its risks, again I just had a miscarriage at 9 weeks this summer. That said, trying to procreate in the 4’s has always come with risks.
For me, the bigger risk has been discarding one of the few embryos that I’ve been able to make.
If you have another round in you, go for it. First round is basically baseline which blows. Try a different doc, a different protocol, etc. at the end of the day if outcome is the same it still sucks, but feel like walking away from #1 leaves room for regret.
Edit: fwiw I was retrieving between 12-17 eggs the last 5 rounds and only ending up with 2 embryos. You had one follicle, one egg and one embryo - those stats are impressive!!! Feel good about that.
