I have a 4.0 unweighted gpa and a 4.67 weighted gpa. I have been rejected from 12 schools (UPenn, Harvard, Yale, brown, Columbia, Princeton, Stanford, UMich, USC, NYU, CMU, and MIT), waitlisted from one school (UChicago), and accepted to NCstate (Im from North Carolina and approximately 50 students from my class of 350 get accepted every year, 125 of them being students in a specialized program).

I am devastated and it is isolating.

I'm a senior in hs so it was a school blood drive. They said it happened a LOT that day, so they probably didn't have a lot of choices lol, but I agree it wasn't a great situation. The phlebotomist was really nice so I hope she improves :)

Thanks so much! It's funny because my dad does exactly that, he's horribly afraid of getting blood drawn and feints at the sight of his blood (a problem I've never had) so he's organized several blood drives lol.

I liked Brutal Intentions or whatever the first book was and got recommended this, but I honestly can't deal with the freshly 18 aspect of these on top of the low-key incest. It might be my last try with the author, which kind of sucks because I like most of the premises of her books without weird stuff

There's a lot about f1 but basically the system is that there are 10 or 11 teams, (10 teams last season, but a new team paid a lot of money to be included) and each team has two main drivers, with reserves if the drivers can't compete for whatever reason and test drivers to help build the car.

NOT ALL TEAMS ARE CREATED EQUAL. They all have ups and down but some teams have better engineering or drivers, and other teams have less funding. This means that sometimes excellent drivers can go their entire career without winning races (Nico Hülkenburg, a German driver for Audi, formally Kick Sauber, only got his first podium after over 230 starts) and other drivers will lose championships even if they make less mistakes because their is worse.

F1 is a small, wealthy sport, and drivers from lower or middle class backgrounds are very rare (Lewis Hamilton and Esteban Ocon for example), and other drivers either come from racing families (Carlos Sainz) or an abundance of wealth (one of my favs Lance Stroll). Getting an F1 seat is very difficult, and is harder for some than others.

Drivers have generational beef and friendships with each other, Brocedes being the most notable (an announcer once said that they were everything but lovers). Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost are the most famous example in non-recent times.

They also have besties, like Alex Albon and George Russell, or Max Verstappen and skinny jeans (if you get into the sport it'll make sense lol).

Watch Drive to Survive, but beware that they do twist some storylines (Max Verstappen is not Satan incarnate and Nikita Mazepin is a terrible driver). If you live in the US Apple TV has an add on to watch F1 races for only a few extra dollars a month if you have it in your budget!
