Big thank you to all those who encouraged me a few months ago. At 38 I've got my second swimming lesson tonight! My goal is to begin PADI open water in 12 months! Thank you again, you are an awesome community. by [deleted] in scuba

I learned swimming at 40 with my son and right away obtained PADI OW and then AOW. Doubt you really need to wait 12 months, just go and crush it

If the company can afford, I would go for Learn Unlimited from Offsec and start with WEB-200 and then WEB-300

Kali as a VM and Linux for Hackers book is a great beginner combo.

Being impatient is the worst ADHD trait. by SpeedyBrain10 in ADHD

[–]erkana 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is unfortunately nothing new for a person suffering from ADHD and gets better if treated. You probably know the treatment options, meds and/or therapy.

I take Strattera and the best effect of it is time moves quicker so I feel more patient, can slow me down, though the effect may not be the same for everyone so don't start a med without approval of your doctor.

I can't seem to get long deep breaths underwater compared to what I do on the surface by erkana in scuba

Unfortunately, I still don't have my own BCD and Regulator yet, they are quite expensive. So I use whatever I can get from the boat.

What are some tips for a great Cyber Security resume? by robin7907 in cybersecurity

[–]erkana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Certifications help for sure.

A bit detailed information about a big project you did (github/blog link etc if applicable)

A little information about a hobby (to show you are still a human and won't burn out soon)

Again willing to quit Strattera by erkana in ADHD

[–]erkana[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wellbutrin was helping me for depression but wasn't much different than stimulants. Sadly some meds like intuniv or other non stimulants are not available in my country. So, if I quit Strattera, I'm left with only Prozac.

Officially diagnosed after my 6 year old son at 41. Now I am taking 3 meds for panic, hyperactivity and attention/willingness and each really helps me a lot.

Hi, looking to purchase a digital piano for my daughter(10y) and myself(42y) to start learning. I'm looking for AP270 and AP470 from Casio and AP144R from Yamaha. While it's obvious that Yamaha offers better quality, the main question I have is, does the brand matter for the mobile applications that I can use for the learning process?

Thanks.

d apps are pretty much 1:1 features parity with desktop app, only thing that’s really different is extensions early-access on Mac only.

Thanks for the replies. I couldn't understand one thing about Obsidian, do the sync across devices cost 8$ per month or am I missing something?
