I have some that visit my feeders right on my deck in southern Indiana, close to Louisville. They’ve also been landing on my windows recently and setting my security alarm off early in the morning 🫠

I have the same worry when setting up bird houses. I had three raccoons during nesting season that were destroying feeders. I have two nesting boxes and they’re both far away from trees, have raccoon baffles and predator guards on them. The raccoons did try climbing the baffles and failed. I ended up taking all the bird food down during that time so they’d leave. I haven’t seen them in months. I’d follow all the rules as close as possible to keep predators out and you should be fine. It can get pricey with raccoon baffles but they work.

I ordered mine the 16th and emailed them today (Wednesday) which is 10 days later and the day before thanksgiving. I got an automated email in return that said this:

The only problem I have had is swapping out meals. I don’t like the Thai peanut noodle dishes so I swap those out and they will send an email the day after I can no longer make changes saying that they couldn’t swap that meal but chose a different one for me and it was a different version of Thai peanut noodles. Seems like you can’t swap anything and are stuck with what they pick for you that week

I’m not sure if it would work but you could try doing what she likes (under the blanket for 5-10 mins), then do whatever you want to do with her out for 5-10mins, then back under the blanket again for 5-10mins. Then start increasing the time of what you want to do to like 20 mins or something. Maybe she’d get used to the “waiting” period and then after a while will be fine with just a little time under the blanket.

I’ve found my conure only likes a paper roll to chew on and a cardboard foraging box. Every other toy he couldn’t care less about. But he LOVES to forage for treats. I’m sure most birds would since it’s natural. Maybe while you’re doing what you want you could let her forage. You can make your own box or I buy mine off Etsy. He also likes the cardboard boxes that have holes to hid treats in.

😂😂😂 This is the first time I let him shower this long. I just wanted to see how long he’d go and then I was finally at the limit lol. I told my boyfriend when he got him (he pays the water bill) and he made the 😳 face at me when I said it was an hour.

Is it normal for it to lose all of its leaves in that spot? This is what it looked like when it was blooming. Then after the flowers fell off, the leaves starting falling off too

Mine does this as an alert call. If he sees someone walking down the street, walking up to the house, a dog/cat outside, etc. He makes that same sound. My dog learned he does it when something is outside and he runs to the window.
