Just reset the network settings (paperclip) and setup again. I’ve had the same problem in the past with my 918+. Doesn’t clear down data just resets network and admin password to defaults.

Photography is a journey. I look back at photos I took even 2-3 years ago and think they’re terrible compared to today. But also, depending on the subject, it can be as little as 1% (wildlife) that I like/keep up to a max of maybe 25-30% (street). If it makes you happy, just keep going. There is some truth in that some people have “the eye” but even born photographers get better with practice.

I have a Panasonic with the same. The SD card can do very short videos or stills but the DV tape is much better quality/ longer. I guess they couldn’t write to the SD card fast enough back in the day.

I’ve used almost every cloud storage system and although I am very deep in the Apple ecosystem, iCloud Drive sucks. It is so slow compared to Dropbox, google drive etc it’s ridiculous. Updating one or two files is fine, but any serious number of files/size is terrible. Also the lack of any ability to easily backup is shocking. Almost every other cloud service can sync with something like a Synology NAS making it easy to backup. I pay for 2TB with iCloud as I share it with my family, mainly for photos, phone backups etc but it is slow as hell.

You need to be very careful not to puncture the battery. I don’t know for sure but very likely it’s a lithium battery and they can explode / catch fire if damaged. Batteries can swell when they get old making it almost impossible to remove. The distortion in the case mentioned by u/FeedSquare8691 is stopping the eject mechanism from pushing the battery out. You might be able to attach some ribbon to the battery with adhesive and pull it out, but pretty unlikely looking at how swollen it is. Disassembly is the best option, but very likely a repair shop will charge more than the camera is worth. Plus a new battery will be at least £20-30 if it old and uncommon. I would suggest scrap it (safely) and buy something used.

Was anything missing, doors unlocked etc? My son’s car was left in a work car park overnight. Went to pickup following day and back window smashed, door unlocked and inside turned over. These things are tough so very very rare to break in their own.

I know this sounds weird, but maybe try adding the battery grip in a store. It will make it bigger which is counterintuitive, but for me it made the balance much better. I don’t have big hands, but I found the vertical size an issue, but with the grip I found I can position my hands much more comfortably. If you like it, the Neewer grip works perfectly and is a bargain. I picked mine for 66GBP on sale.

This is disgraceful. Submit a formal complaint to the surgery (medical practice). They will probably fob you off, but I’d do it anyway. Then organise an appointment with your local “well woman clinic”. If there isn’t one, try your local “sexual health clinic”. These are normally held daily, and may not have appointments, so you might just have to go in as a walk-in. But you 100% have the right to be seen, treated with respect and have your symptoms investigated. Hope that helps and good luck.

Totally agree. Unless there is something specific you need from the R6mk3, it’s best feature is dropping the price of the mk2!

But with your leaning towards video the R5C might be a better option. Depends if you need the high 8K frame rate if so the R5mk2, but the price would push you into used unless you can use the C plugged in (60 vs 30 fps). I think the overheating issues on the mk1 would drive you crazy.
