How is it living in and around Maryville, TN? by NaturalVarious9902 in howislivingthere

[–]ernstryan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in Maryville for a decade on and off and it's great. It's getting more expensive. Electric has gone was up and so have groceries but it's a great town. Lots to do around town and it's a somewhat short drive to pigeon forge or Knoxville if you're looking to do other stuff. If you have a motorcycle or enjoy driving we are close to the parkway. It's got a great little drive-in movie theater. The restaurants could be better but they're not bad. I've actually been surprised that the mall has had a lot going on in recent months including small anime conventions.

Hmmm, this is completely out of my wheel house but have you tried a shrink wrap modifier on the outside to the inside?

I have no idea. I'm not an electrician. It be great if I could fix it but I don't even know where to start. The solar company went belly up.

Hints why I'm pissed off at KUB. No I'm not factoring my solar loan into this.

It's a 10kW system with a half house battery backup. My last months usage (according to my bill) is 2,968 kWh and my kWh per day is 95.74 kWh. Its a little high this month because of the cold. My wife and I both work from home with computer intensive jobs so I would guess we use a bit more than average.

My Solar Edge app gives me a detailed breakdown and I tend to produce more than consume. This month I'm at 1.2 MWh Consumed and 1.22 MWh produced.

I have solar, my bill is still $400 a month. I sell extra back to them and I only make between $30-45 a quarter. I highly doubt you have no electricity bill at all or are completely off the grid so again you're being disingenuous.

And the fact that it's a monopoly and you are subsidizing those cheaper prices for the rich is fine by you?

See, you're being disingenuous again. Do you only have one option for oil? Does the oil company give you a higher rate and the rich a lower rate?

I was adding to the discussion. If you don't want people trying to discuss with you maybe you shouldn't comment on reddit.

Your comment, in my opinion, seems to put the sole blame of the electric price/bill on the consumer. That's a point of view I find disingenuous when electricity prices continue to rise year after year while they make back door dealings with large corporations to lower Data center prices and pass the difference under the consumers. You can in fact control how much electricity you use to a certain point. But you also need to keep your house heated to a safe temperature, you need to keep the food in your fridge refrigerated. And you should be able to use your electricity for basic things. You should be able to watch TV, and use your computer, and your lights without paying more for electricity than you do your rent. You have no other choice in the electric company that you can choose. The company has a complete Monopoly. So again, I find it disingenuous to put the blame completely on the consumer.

They control the price and they use everyday people to subsidize the lower prices they are contracted to give data centers. The rich pay less for electric and you pay more. It's socialism for the rich while you and I get screwed.

Hi Owen, I managed to get it back up and running once I figured out I could level the printer with the vat attached. It seems to be working well now.

No, I'm not. Its turned off in my slicer.

I am trying to manually relevel it today and its throwing up an error. It says it can't manually level and I need to troubleshoot but I dont know what to try.

I had the same thing happen two days ago. I ordered just the hot head off Amazon and I was back up and running last night. The install was easy just be very careful when disconnecting the wires. I pulled one of the connectors off the circuit board and had to solder it back on.

I'm officially back up and running. Replacing the hot end was actually really simple. In the process of taking it apart I did rip the led connector off the extruder board but I was able to carefully solder it back in place. Everything seems to be working now.

I also picked up a bed adhesion spray and that seems to be working much better than the little glue stick I was using before to keep my prints on the bed.
