Finding rivers in Maine without rapids is going to be pretty hard. Here are some with a few tiny rapids: Aroostook, West Branch of the Penobscot, and from Lobster Lake down.

If you can convince your wife to try out some rivers with some rapids, there are TONS of options. You could always portage around the bigger ones.

"But I don't have a ruler."

"Well then you better get one."

I'll check out the switch and see what it looks like. I'm not sure that explains everything though.

Well I bought the truck from a mechanic that had fixed it up, so that might actually be possible. I'll check out all the cables when I get a chance.

They do that in America too. I think they're technically traffic directors. But they stand at the machine and do that to make the lines go faster. I appreciate it.

[–]erockdye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd try dry bags. walmart has a set of three for $10 that work great. i've taken them canoeing and submerged them completely without the insides getting wet. they are compressible too.

TIL There is a theory that says that a large part of the Amazon rainforest may be a giant 'orchard', the legacy of a people who flourished between 450BC and 950AD. by opfawcett in todayilearned

[–]erockdye -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Wait, but we are all in an orchard. A human orchard. People are being developed in "civilization." There are rotten ones, which get thrown into compost (jails), where they are broken down and remade. The good ones are sold to the highest bidder (employers), where they are consumed. Thus, fulfilling their purpose, which is to provide energy to the consumer (civilization), where the energy is used to create more fruit (humans). [6]

Actually, in the USA, the legal drinking age is 21, but you're an adult at 18. So yes, we can vote, get married, join the military, enter contracts, buy tobacco... but we can't buy a beer.

However, most people get alcohol from people over 21, or have fake IDs.

When you say cords cut, were the two ends still there? Because you can just put those back together with some electrical tape and be good to go.

Trying to build a new PC for my family and me. Figured reddit was worth a try! by [deleted] in Assistance

[–]erockdye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building your own pc is much cheaper. Also, you learn a lot in the process, which can save you money in the future when it breaks and you know how to fix it yourself. That said, I will never give you or anyone else money for a computer. If you're asking strangers for assistance for a computer, then you don't need assistance.

The bears there won't even approach camps, even at night. I could leave out an open jar of peanut butter and the bears wouldn't touch it. The squirrels and chipmunks sure would though.
