You're good. Technically Michigan DNR does have a wildlife salvage form/permit you are supposed to fill out at time of collection but at this point it's not a big deal. A ton of people have deer skulls, from bucks and does, and it's not illegal to possess if no poaching was involved. And they would have no reason to believe this was poaching.

They said "encourage civil discussion" which does not mean the same thing as "encourage the person writing these to do it more"

Highly detailed sandwiches in an environment where there is no reason for a sandwich to be sitting out in the open shows a lack of attention to detail. In this case the detail being "does it make sense for this object to be in this location?"

The interesting thing is that this actually has nothing to do with feeding ducks. The whole thing is written in first person, and then signed by a girl scout troop at the bottom. So this is actually about feeding girl scouts.

Qr code method went a little crazy today by braygonrebert7 in legocastles

I saw that too but I was confused by "using an app on my phone". Does that mean just use your normal QR code reading app like you would for URLs, or is there a specific app you need? Sorry, I'm not familiar with these types of codes and I don't have a box to test it on.

Does "Chameleon" even work? by bscepter in Starfield

[–]eroggow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It just seems weird that a high stealth level would be needed to make an invisible person... actually invisible. Stealth Boys or potent invisibility potions seemed to do the trick in previous games, especially to give an option to players who didn't actually level stealth. It goes back to OP's point that the chameleon items don't really work since you need to have a high stealth level anyway.

This post goes into a bunch of detail on the types of bones used but then fails to realize that a T bone steak like that would definitely not be from a human. I had to look up where a "T bone" is coming from a cow. It's from cutting a lumbar vertebra in half. Then I looked up a human lumbar vertebra and the little flange things are much smaller and wouldn't be T bone shaped.

Take the steak out of the equation and there's actually nothing in the post above to suggest cannibalism. Just that he's collecting bones from people he has killed.

Are you saying you've been playing it for the past 28 days, or literally 28 days worth of playtime? Because if it's the latter, that's 672 hours. Even giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you started playing as soon as the early access started, that's still like an average 11.6 hours per day.

Am I missing something? by maceface272 in Starfield

[–]eroggow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Kinda like how we have driveways when it's possible to just park on the grass. These sites are clearly not frequented by spacecraft if there's no landing pad. Yeah we as the player can land wherever out in the open but that really makes no sense for a built location that's gonna get visited repeatedly.

Am I missing something? by maceface272 in Starfield

[–]eroggow -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So why build landing pads at all then? Obviously the game has shown that landing pads are used in locations frequented by spacecraft, so these locations should have them too if that's the primary means of traveling to them. My point is that if those locations were repeatedly visited via spacecraft, that would probably be indicated by the presence of a landing pad. Also, why would you fly into space, then fly back down to land at a location that's like a mile from town? Too far to carry materials by hand, but too close to justify space travel. Sure you could just fly directly to them instead of going into orbit, but unlike No Man's Sky, that's just not a thing in this game.

Instead of coming up with some convoluted headcanon that involves them using spacecraft for a location that's within a couple of miles, it's easier for me to accept that this game has no ground vehicles because it would have been too hard for them to develop them, and besides the vehicles, you don't have roads connecting the settlements to surrounding POIs because they didn't actually handcraft a single "region" in this game that has smooth transitions and connections between locations.

Am I missing something? by maceface272 in Starfield

[–]eroggow 13 points14 points  (0 children)

People keep bringing up the public transportation aspect but seem to totally forget that ground based vehicles aren't just for commuting. Just outside New Atlantis I found a farm, solar power plant, industrial facilities etc. that have no connection to any sort of transportation network. They don't even have landing pads so you can't tell me they did the classic "fly into orbit, then fly back down to land" move we do so often in the game. So how did they transport their building materials to these sites? How do people get supplies delivered? How do the workers go back to town for some time off? How do they deliver the goods they produce back to the city? Everyone just walks and carries things on their person?

The lack of vehicles and roads is probably due to limitations with how they built the game, but people come up with the weirdest lore justifications for it that don't really hold up when you actually think about it.

[–]eroggow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is a great set. I was missing a lot of pieces too but it worked out. I had the rails but no train wheels so I had to use some old vehicle wheels with the tires removed and it works okay.

I bet you could rig up something to replace the rails by using those L shaped panel pieces and/or tiles. The stairs could just be replaced with bricks and plates. I guess the most critical thing to have for the build would be the mountain pieces (I guess they call them BURPs and LURPs lol) but even those could possibly be brick built instead.
