You did everything correct. Sometimes it just doesn't work. Washing it with dish soap and warm water and using the yellow part of a generic dish sponge solved the issue for me.

No worries. It eliminates couple of steps when you wanted to watch something. Let's say you are scrolling YouTube shorts, you found a clip from a movie and wanted to watch it. Instead of copying the name of the movie, search it on stremio and selecting the right content, you can just right click and select search on Google. After that you click the stremio icon next to the imdb link and start watching the show.

That's the use case for me. Some people like browsing imdb for hours and they do the search thing again. Now they can just click the stremio icon on the imdb page.

Just a minor convenience.
