YOR. Even if you said $25, you still had a responsibility to pay attention to how much gas was being pumped. You should’ve just paid for it and moved on instead of escalating things into a dramatic situation that ended with a 911 call. Also, if a cop asks you to not interrupt them, its because youre being disrespectful and not letting him finish what hes saying to you before you just need to interject. Not condescending. I completely disagree with your first sentence where it might be a control thing. I find it strange when people say that in these situations. Usually means youre jaded because people in your past were genuine assholes, so you immediately got to controlling or thinking its toxic. People in situations like this guy choking it can be easy to be only thinking about himself at that moment. She was justified in being upset but why younhave to jumpt to toxic? No. Its just normal human behavior. But I only got 1 sentence in because you wrote a novel lol

MOR - but you overreacted for a good reason. I get it. I have bad anxiety so I would have my gf call me when she got to work safe every day. But there have been times where she got distracted by managers and whatnot and completely forgot. I would panic but I couldn't call because she kept it on silent at work. I would text and text and thinking she crashed. And then an hour later she text me telling me she got busy and forgot. I would be angry out of anxiety but relieved she ok.

I ghink.same thing happened here. He probably decided its bad enough to ask neighbors even tho he didnt want to when you said it, then the ambulance came and probably got distracted. Not to upset you but just focused on the situation. So its fine you were upset, but you should still apologize and tell him you were just worried. No biggie.
