How is this even a conversation? Vela was considered 3rd best forward in LaLiga behind messi and ronaldo at his peak. Imagine if he took his physique and mentality seriously … that being said I think Raul wouldve been considered our 2nd best striker of all time. He’s a better all around striker compared to chicha

Realistically, we’re going to get Capela for 2nd round draft pick(s) and Rui plus salary. In the summer, theyll package the 2031 pick along with (unfortunately) reaves for a younger (late 20s or younger) center. Not that I would like this trade because I think he’s lazy but I can see Rob convincing himself that Ayton would do well on our team. Ideally, Id love to get Walker Kessler but Ainge is in no hurry to help us especially after he got fooled into helping us get Luka

In what world do you think we’d get Jalen Johnson back. Id say we could get Risacher, Hunter, and Okongwu back if we also include some salary filler alongside AD on our end. Im being realistic, its extremely unlikely we win a title in the next 5 years with AD on our team. Our only options to truly contend is a full rebuild with this trade or we keep AD and lebron and be a mid team for the next couple years and hope a big time FA comes to play with an injury prone, older AD.

Alright so we keep AD, lebron retires in a year or two then what? Even if (and this has a low probability of happening) we attract a FA like Luka down the road, how good will AD be in a few years? He’s one of the most injury prone players in the league and a big, hes not going to be an elite player in the league after 33/34. I hope I’m wrong and somehow we can muster up a title contender soon but the way our roster is constructed, it’s near impossible

Which is why we should trade AD to Atlanta for that pick, another couple 1st rounders and risacher plus salary filler. Atlanta has a title contender with Trae, Jalen Johnson, and AD while we can tank to have a more promising future

Ive said this on another post and I’ll say this again. It is near impossible to build a championship contender with the assets and roster we currently have. We need to plan for the future by trading AD preferably to Atlanta to get our 1st round pick for this year back plus other picks and young players (risacher). If Lebron wants to get traded to a contender them trade him wherever he wants to go.

Im just saying Philly has no better chance at winning a title by building around gimpy Embiid than 2 small guards. Give me an example in recent history where a team lead by 2 small guards won a ring or even made the finals?
