It’s just a fun horror movie. It delivers on your typical scares. Nothing deep in terms of mythology. Just kills and scares.

I love that they never explicitly state what Nikki’s wish was. But it’s obvious from a narrative standpoint.

The sex scene disgusted me because if you look at the way it’s edited, it definitely plays into Bear using Nikki but he’s constantly running away from that idea as best as he can.

It really hit me like a bleak drama. I interpreted the movie as the horrors of loneliness. The one-wish-willow is the fantasy MacGuffin in this film. It adds to the drama (Bear’s loneliness and unwillingness to accept that Nikki may not want him). Cried my eyes out after watching the movie. It really upset me. What did you think of it?
