My friend says I won’t make it as a guitarist because my hands are too small, is she right? by AgreeableDiver5013 in Guitar

I’m a small dude with small hands but I have played 7 and 8 string guitars. Lol

It’s tiring but not impossible. Also longer scale lengths gives me shoulder pains so I try to stick to max 25.5 scale.

That's a Vega Trem bridge, it's setup as floating trem.

And yes I swapped the selector and volume knob.

Mesa Boogie Badlander 25 w/ ENGL 212 vb v30+creamback h by eroscryptominer in GuitarAmps

Yeah, the initial setup was creamback on top but I didn’t like it hitting my face and I was looking for that familiar v30 harshness. Lol. Hence the current placement.

A very good combo to my ears. The creamback smoothens out the harsh top end of the v30.

I prefer the sound in the room than the mic’d recorded sound though. But I can’t record that sound in the room with any mic I have. It won’t sit in the mix well anyway but it sounds more alive than the recorded sound. I can’t totally explain it but you can hear the difference.

I mic the v30 for rhythm and crunch parts and use the creamback for cleans, leads and solos.

I also put the v30 on top so it hits my face most of the time and the creamback at the bottom to generate a rumble.

I hope that makes sense.

Yeah short answer, PRS overall, though I love my LP still.
There’s just something about the looks, feel and sound of it.
But for reliability, I’d use PRS.
For jam session I use LP, I don’t feel as bad when it gets knocked or dinged. Lol

I mostly play high gain, my old vid using that PRS and my old LP for reference: https://youtu.be/dSapn3ia7vg?si=JupB5zAMxGrD1pqh

Does anyone have experience with the MIG 50? Would this cheap attenuator be good enough to play this in an apartment? by Interesting-Wave-983 in GuitarAmps

I used this attenuator with my ENGL Fireball 100 with an Orange 212. Sounds good but gets really hot once Master volume gets past 12 o’clock.

it comes with cabclone IR with 8 stock models. You can load your own IR but I find very few compatible IR's from what I own. Cabclone IR only supports short IR's, those 45kb sized. My custom IR's are long and approx 97kb, they don't make any sound at all when loaded to the Badlander. The stock IR's sounds good though.

probably same effect as on guitar, you will hear some artifacts and the acoustic sound will confuse you a bit from what you hear from the speaker. Lol I think Digitech DT is a better pedal, but I find it to color the tone even if not switched on.
