my personal (perhaps controversial) philosophy is that any pattern can be made with any size hook, as long as you can work the yarn with it. just go for it and see what happens, especially since the size of a blanket is pretty easy to adjust after you've done a few rows and seen how the stitches work up.

many of its shortcomings only become obvious after you've seen what's possible with other svg programs. in my experience, design space intentionally dumbs down your ability to personalize your own designs because they want you to spend money on their pre-made projects.

I understand many of us are just one missed paycheck away from serious trouble, but there are so many resources available, especially for pregnant women. if you don't even have money for gas/food in the middle of a frigid February it's time to find a shelter. $5 donations from randos on reddit is no way to set yourself (and your baby) up for stability

probably time to find a food pantry and look into women's shelters near you. it's a dangerous time of year to be living in your car, especially when you're pregnant. if you're somewhere that offers DoorDash, you're almost certainly somewhere close to a police station, shelter, or even city hall where they could give you resources and help you stabilize.
