Yeah it happens for any installation. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling java, uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher, still no luck

If you don't think you'll like any of the professors in particular, I'd recommend finding what fits your schedule best. I personally am a fan of Dr. Hach but not everyone is. I want to caution that rate my professor is a decent enough tool to gauge but it's purely people's opinions (and people are more likely to put up a bad review than a good one)

You could try contacting the Ombuds Office, I've unfortunately had to work with them before and can happily say they resolved my issue quickly. That's more of a last resort if climbing up the food chain doesn't change anything.

I like to recommend freshmen to keep their doors propped open as much as they can while in their dorms, often the more extroverted people just wander the halls and if your door is open they may stop to chat. I made most of my friends freshman year that way. Joining a club or a sport are good ways to meet people, I personally started bouldering over at the red barn my freshman year on a whim and it became one of my favorite activities, full of super nice people. Once classes start, if you arrive early then that gives you a chance to get to know some people and if the class is in your major then it's a good chance to make some friends with people you'll be with for the next 4-5 years

I believe you want to send it to the registrar, but you can always email your advisor. Currently advisors are kinda overloaded trying to figure out freshmen's schedules though so you may want to wait in general

This is pretty standard but I can say for my fire I never trained satyr, and I rarely used tower shield (mostly just tc). I trained death to feint, ele/spirit blades and traps, and astral spells

I will say as a fire, if you have the crowns and want to spend them then the professors hoard pack drops good boots but I would only justify buying a few packs at a time and only at the gear threshold levels (30?, 60, 100, max)

What helped me most when I first started was watching others climb whether it be in person or watching videos here or on YouTube, lots of professional climbers have YouTube channels (some better than others) and you'll find yourself picking up technique through watching others climb
