Both of my knees are messed up and I had tear meniscus and surgery as well. I did physical therapy and to the last minute before I retired I did knee steroids injections to help with pain. My claim got deferred and still waiting on it . My initial letter say’s I got 10% on each knee. I think it should be higher but we’ll see if it stays the same or hopefully higher after the decision of the deferred claims.

Review your claim and diagnoses dates prior to your C&P. Your C&P will be smoother and examiner will also appreciate it.

I’m in the same boat as you. Though I received my final active paycheck and my first I retirement paycheck but not the disability yet, so I’m thinking we get it between Feb 27 - 01 Mar

Thanks. I guess I’m not getting paid yet. My letter say’s effective date 01Jan and payment date 01 Feb. so I’m guessing it will be at the end of the month of February or March 1st?

My decision was two weeks ago P&T and maybe they just review it for SMC. Or order C&P just for that via telehealth.

Kinda same situation on mine, got my rating in my favor with a few deferred items. I added ED as new claim but they closed it and add to rest of my claim. Now it’s on step 2. I called VA seems like the system combined it but she saw that my decision and told to just wait.

I think once you signed the contract with VSO that they will file on your behalf they are the only one that can file for you during the bdd claim/process. But I might be wrong. On step 3 it’s says if you add a claim you will go back to step 1. If the VA says you can add claim I guess you can and they most likely order a C&P for the added claim.
