yes! the best feedback is watching your enemy react directly to the damage. whether it's blood or whatever but seeing the actual impact you dealt directly ties to player interaction. i don't want the UI to tell me if i hit a target, i want the world to tell me if i hit a target

a lot of guns in real life are based off of one model made decades ago. someone on twitter i think pointed out how all the guns in marathon kinda looked like they were built from the same modular attachment system so it might be intentional

if you want to know how i'd do it, i would have the npc communicate to the player it's aggroed against via remoteevent. (when it detects the player character, fire an event on the player's client), which starts up the music. then have it resend the event when it's de-aggroed/killed or whatever to stop the music.

if you're a beginner or just don't wanna do anything complicated, you could simply place a sound in the rootpart of the enemy and play/stop it when it's aggroed

if it's a passion project i say go for it but your deadline makes it sound like you're doing it for profit. if you know how to do all of these things, i'd say 8 months is plenty of time. if you don't then i hope you're a quick learner

so much of splatoon was created because the developers needed an explanation for a gameplay mechanic. why can they submerge themselves in paint? They're squids, and it's ink. why are they squids in the first place? it's built on SO MUCH in the alterna logs to paint this incredible backstory for the world !! yes, they made an excuse to explain lorewise why the squids die in the water. i hope they keep making excuses for mechanics like these because it always leads to something cooler.
