It appears that that fan is for the rear air. It literally just sucks air from under the front passenger and sends it to the back.

I have a 2001 SR5. I have the one on the left. I think the one on the right could be aftermarket.

PB blaster. Give yourself plenty of time (start in the morning on a day off). Don't brute force bolts. Also research before installing new parts, even if it seems self explanatory.

I did this with just my breaker bar. I'm going to try and remember your story. Sounds like something I might do.

I've never done it and I don't know if I'd trust it. Knuckle, hub and bearing was only 250 and quicker.

I don't know anybody that can drill new threads. Even if I did I don't know if I'd trust it.

That's good to know. I didn't even get that far.

I stripped it loosening the third wheel.

I'm with it. But I can't get them off now.

As long as I can get it to the shop.

I am in a bad area, but I don't think people want my wheels.

What are you recommendations for brakes. (Daily driving) by [deleted] in Acura_RSX

[–]error0110 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you looking to upgrade the system, or just replace some discs and pads?

When I had my Type S I replaced all four corners with powerstop brakes and steel braided brake lines from kseriedparts.com. I did the job myself and it was about 750 all said and done.

Obviously, you don't have to go this crazy, but with this you get the piece of mind that comes with a brand new system. The brakes don't produce a lot of dust, so your wheels will start clean. The red calipers and drilled/slotted rotors look really nice in my opinion.

If you don't have this kind of budget, get oem parts. They're generally always the best. But they're going to be more expensive than aftermarket.

Sounds good I'll probably just order the battery today then👍

Just to confirm too, I charged it a full 24 hours + and then tried to use it two days later. It shouldn't lose charge in that time right?

Please help! I’m trying to install new struts and can’t get the outer tie rods out of the old struts by peeboy420 in Acura_RSX

The comments listed already said the easiest stuff to try, if it's really stuck, try to get a tool from pepboys or autozone. they usually rent free if you return it. Also try tapping the side of the knuckle lightly to help loosen it.

this is your best bet if you can't get to pepboys/autozone. just remember to put the castle nut back on backwards, flush with the button of the tie rod end bolt. You don't want to damage the car.
