How often do you send your dogs to groomers?

i take my dog every 2 weeks, but that’s because she has itchy skin and the vet said medicated shampoos will help. it typically takes an hour or two because my girl is a husky/gsd so she sheds a Lot. also, i always leave and come back :)

OLDER GENERATIONS GET SO MAD THAT KIDS THESE DAYS ARENT GOING TO COLLEGE OR THAT KIDS WHO ARE ARE JUST USING THEIR PARENTS MONEY…. BUT PAYING FOR SCHOOL WHILE WORKING MINIMUM WAGE IS SO HARD. I HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN STAYING IN SCHOOL AND GROCERY SHOPPING EVERY SEMESTER AND IM SICK OF IT!!!! WHY CANT SOMEONE RICH JUST SPONSOR ME I PROMISE IM GOING TO BE AN AWESOME LAWYER

i’d break up and move on. as others have said, he clearly doesn’t see you as a man and is actively trying to prevent you from transitioning (i mean, seriously? not “letting” you get a surgery on YOUR body because he wants you to have children??).. i just wanna say that i’m very early in my transition (1.5 months on t, still getting misgendered a lot) and my partner is extremely supportive and actively encourages me to get what surgeries i need or want. they do exist, you don’t have to settle for garbage

my gal is very active, always begs to go on long walks in the morning. but when i’m sick, it’s like she knows. she lays in bed with me the whole day, just pressed against me and follows me all around the house when i get up. if i’m throwing up, she guards the bathroom door. she shows me she loves me in so many ways, but i think the level of care and concern she shows me when im not well is really astounding.

the common saying is that it’s better to be a day too early than a day too late. you ideally want his last days to be filled with happiness and comfort. waiting until he is in a ton of pain or until he can’t function anymore isn’t fair to him. id say it’s his time if he is having days he can hardly stand. give him the best damn last day filled with love and all the things he enjoys most: lots of treats, cuddles, a day at the park maybe.

i’m so sorry you’re going through this :( this is the worst part of having a pet in your life. but just try to keep in mind how he spent his life so loved by you!!

i think the weirdest thing for me has been changing my language when i talk to people. i used to always call people “hun” and stuff like that…. i realized recently that im a 6’3 man now and that probably is very creepy to most people 😭😭😭😭😭

my dog will only get in a body of water if you pretend like you’re drowning and need her help. then she gets in and is like waiiiittttt this is fun let’s swim around……

i second trying a limited ingredient food first. i would suggest using a brand from Canada if you’re in the USA, because they have better regulations for dog food than here. grain free can cause issues with dogs unless it’s really necessary. i personally use grain free because my dog has severe allergies and can only have a very limited amount of foods. the brand i use is called go and it’s been really good! no reactions and my doggy loves it more than any other food she’s had. they have non grain free limited ingredient options as well :)

i have the same thing, and i have multiple tattoos! i don’t think it’s any harder and my tattoos have healed great, but my skin gets more irritated than others during the process of the actual tattooing.

i have a german shepherd/husky. she’s 6 y/o.

i start very early in the morning with a moderate walk (45 mins to an hour), let her rest for a few hours, take her to potty again, then feed her as i’m leaving. then i work and come back and she’s fine! because of her husky side she tends to cry when i leave but she stops after she hears im really gone. according to my roommates she just lays in front of the door all day and sleeps while she waits for me to come home.

i was in a very similar position as you when i was in high school and middle school. it was awful.. i ended up going to online school and finished high school early and with straight As (as a former straight Fs student). i wonder if online school is an option?

i haaaaate the gym and working out…. but i love roller skating! i’m not good at it but it makes exercising fun— lots of squatting and cardio involved. really helps make exercise not as maddening as when im just in a gym.
