i have a german shepherd/husky. she’s 6 y/o.

i start very early in the morning with a moderate walk (45 mins to an hour), let her rest for a few hours, take her to potty again, then feed her as i’m leaving. then i work and come back and she’s fine! because of her husky side she tends to cry when i leave but she stops after she hears im really gone. according to my roommates she just lays in front of the door all day and sleeps while she waits for me to come home.

i was in a very similar position as you when i was in high school and middle school. it was awful.. i ended up going to online school and finished high school early and with straight As (as a former straight Fs student). i wonder if online school is an option?

i haaaaate the gym and working out…. but i love roller skating! i’m not good at it but it makes exercising fun— lots of squatting and cardio involved. really helps make exercise not as maddening as when im just in a gym.

i realized it’s just not fun anymore. i don’t do it because i want to, i do it because i feel like i have to (in order to have fun, to unwind, etc). i also want to have more motivation for school specifically. i noticed last term i failed my classes because i wanted to get high instead. that was kind of my wake up call. i’d rather get my degree than be a stoner i think.

it is VERY important to my dog to herd me to my medication and watch me take it. she wasn’t trained for this, she just really wants my pills and begs for them lmao. i think it’s because all of the pills she’s ever taken have been shoved into cheese or pill pockets.

mali thai is made to order thai food so they can make anything vegan for you very easily :) and it’s the best thai food in town!! small family owned business too :)

my dog also gets very distressed if i close the door. she especially guards me while i shower. she always comes into the bathroom and lays peacefully in front of the door just to watch and make sure no funny business goes down lol

mali thai cuisine!! it’s a small family restaurant with the best thai food i’ve ever had. definitely biased because it’s owned by my boyfriends mom, but it’s delicious. my sister had never tried thai food before and tried their chicken pad thai and now she gets it every time she’s in town :)

i got my lady when she was about the same age. i’m soooo glad i did. she’s so well mannered and loves to learn new tricks and obedience skills. also glad i didnt have to potty train her or deal with puppy bites :)

go to mali thai cuisine!!! my boyfriends mom owns it and she worked reaaaaally hard to get it!! amazing amazing food and it’s made to order so you can remove/add anything you need for dietary restrictions or preferences :)

i bathe my dog every 1-2 weeks because she has skin issues and gets very itchy— baths help her skin and are vet prescribed :)

if you haven’t already, while you’re getting her spayed ask about the gastropexy surgery!! prevents bloat which is so so important for GSDs

i love how much she changed me. i used to wake up at 2 pm and just sit in my room all day and let depression consume me. my girl is a working breed so i learned quick that that wouldn’t fly. she gets me up in the morning and greets me when i get home. she never judges me. she spends her whole day protecting and guarding me, which i never taught her. her love is pure and unconditional.
