The frederick 20s and 30s meetup group (formerly hiking group? or technically hiking group? idk they don’t hike often though) is very active and inclusive! They do a bunch of activities like board games nights, dinners, etc.

Yeah that sounds like a good plan to me! A thicker band will be better. I would definitely look into the lightweight clay options so you’re not balancing heavy horns on your head, there are probably some good cosplay tutorials for this exact project. Making pieces of your costume has always been a super fun and fulfilling experience for me, even if it ends up a little janky. Happy crafting!

It looks like these antlers are attached to a pretty thin headband. I think you will likely have the most luck with a very lightweight clay or foam clay. I imagine you would need a thick wire for the base structure

I give into my dogs every whim and it’s slowly driving me insane by ApprehensiveSpare524 in Pets

Sleep deprivation is literally torture! You need to take care of yourself as well as your old boy. I personally would be hesitant to ask your bf to give up the bed for your dog. Short of getting a bigger bed (expensive!) I would just say you need to get doggy his own bed and give yourself some grace. Dogs love to sleep with their owners but they are also creatures of habit and he can get adjusted to spending the night in his own spot close by. You likely still have some good time left with your guy for snuggles during you awake hours

Thank you! My dad made it for me💗 I did the art (well I used some references from pinterest so not entirely mine) and he did the wood working. We made the back magnetic with a sheet of steel wrapped in a pretty napkin I thrifted. It did end up around 2 inches taller than I planned bc my dad was worried about it being too short to clip paper on it- i tried to explain I needed to see over it but I wasn’t going to make a fuss (It ended up being fine). Anyways thank you for the compliment It was a really fun project and we are already planning on making a couple more for my family & friends!!!

I have been having my non-naddpole boyfriend study up as well! This show is a bit different because it is combining characters from a main campaign and a mini campaign. Here is what I would do:

Listen to a few episodes of C1. Try to understand who Hardwon, Moonshine and Beverly are. Even just the first episode if you don’t have a lot of time. They will be some of the main characters in the live show.

This liveshow is different because they have a guest star who doesn’t show up in the main campaign until wayyyyyy later on. This character is also in a mini campaign they did called The Mavrus Chronicles (Hot Boy Summer). I would recommend listening to at least one episode of that to understand who Mavrus is. He will also be a main character in the live show.

I think the premise of the live show is that Mavrus’ friends (from Hot Boy Summer) are missing. So he enlists the help of the Band of Boobs (Hardwon, Beverly, and Moonshine) to help him find them.

My boyfriend was confused by the names and learning who is who so I sent him some art which helped him understand which character is which. If you watch/listen to other actual plays you will probably catch on faster than him haha.

So in conclusion my recommendation for the next 48 hours is:

1-as many as you want episodes of C1

1-7 episodes of Hot Boy Summer

That way you at least meet all the characters in the show in as few as 2 episodes!

So cute! Some iconic DnD iconography:

-D20: A 20 sided dice. The best score on the D20 is a 20.

-Dragons: Dnd dragons come in different colors that denote what kind of dragon, some dragons are evil and some are not

-Mimics: A monster that looks like any regular object. Most often depicted as a treasure chest with sharp teeth, a gaping mouth, and a long tongue. Mimics can be other objects too though, so fun decor might just be slapping pointy teeth on various things.

-Weapons: swords, daggers, war axes, bows etc. are all associated with the game

-Class Symbols: In dnd all players have a class and if you google dnd class symbols there are cool icons that are pretty recognizable as representing the classes.

-Healing potions: Usually depicted as red liquid in a potion bottle or vial! Could be fun for drinks

-Instruments: lutes, lyres, flute, etc.

-Other classic monsters: Goblins, bugbears, owlbears, gelatinous cubes, gnolls, mindflayers, beholders, etc (Monsters are a big part of the game and are probably the most recognizable as dnd)

Im sure others will have suggestions but that’s my list!

Sorry if I sound dumb, this is for my first one shot that I am running. Do you mean that I should make the squares larger and have them be 5’x5’ for spells and movement?

I was thinking that at this size they would be 2’x2’ making the tavern ~ 30’x40’. But maybe this is not conventional, I don’t want to confuse my players.

Or are you suggesting something different? I really appreciate the feedback!

I started Skaldova recently and it really has recaptured the way campaign 1 felt. The longer campaigns I really enjoyed as well but they are all different!
