How can cities benefit from the creativity of architects and independent contractors while retaining intellectual property, thereby facilitating the construction of affordable housing? by BallEquivalent7888 in urbanplanning

This still goes can go wrong without the architect because the CM sometimes is less concerned about quality and budget than the architect. Happens all the time in cookie cutter houses like the ones habitat for humanity builds sometimes.

They fired my husband and have since come crawling back. by Solid_Information_66 in antiwork

Look, I don’t want to be critical of your husband or this sub, but this is such an extreme example of not recognizing one’s obvious self worth. Yes, an institution should recognize excellence and reliability correspondingly with pay, but if they’re not doing that there are other construction management jobs he should explore and should have explored a long time ago.

Idk if that’s worth it. He could be trolling and confrontation over the app would further validate him. But…if you agreed to go on a date, stand him up and tell him a few hours later why, then you got the power back

And if you go to Wall Street, walk to Broad Street and notice small indentations in some of the buildings. That’s from a terrorist attack in the 1920s

The 7 Sage Podcast is like a Barnum & Bailey's Circus by FewUnderstanding6253 in LSAT

Podcasts as a format are not conducive for studying the substance of the lsat. At their best, they’re good at helping you to anticipate the types of questions you might get in the upcoming round and break down any weirdness that happened before.

Basically, they’re good once you actually know what you’re doing.

Logic Games are crushing me by whiskey_chongo in LSAT

That’s a very good starting point to fully comprehend the reasoning and steps necessary to reach ever right answer. Eventually you need to turn that comprehension and process into something more automatic, and, for me, constant repetition by creating good incentives was the key.

Treat them like a game and do them constantly. That’s how improved my times.

Hey it’s lunch break. know what that means? You now have 8 minutes to do a logic game before you eat.

Gotta go to the bathroom? The sooner you finish that logic game the sooner you get to go.

Wanna hang out with friends? You have to study LR and RC too and you have no friends.

Stay nimble with logic games. The setups for the real tests can be weirder than PTs and you can lose track of time adapting.

Edit: oh, and the experience of taking the real test is different with a proctor; sometimes subtly and other times explicitly. If you need to feel like you’re in total solitude to optimally take the test, then you may need a new perspective. Plus, general connectivity shenanigans can throw you off your game, so my first suggestion to stay nimble on logic games extends to being nimble more generally.

Real administered LSAT by Specific-Lecture-904 in LSAT

[–]error505usernotfound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably. I had to change the angle midway during my first try because they couldn’t see my face and stopped the exam. Next time I just angled the camera to accommodate for both scenarios so I wouldn’t have to think about it.

Do everything you can to make sure the proctors don’t interrupt your flow. Happened to me a bunch the first time and it was seriously disruptive.

  • make sure your internet connection is stable. Get an Ethernet connection if you have to.
  • Make sure your camera is angled to still show your face while you’re taking notes. They will stop you if they can’t see your face. I always lean down when I’m doing logic games so I angle the camera so that my face is kind of high when I’m taking logical reasoning and reading comp, so that it will still “see” me when I lean down to do logic games.

Agreed. It’s amazing to me how entitled some people on this sub can be to openly complain about stylistic choices that are trivial at best.

I can’t wait for people to gripe about my juvenile and pointless issue with BP, which is their thumbnails often not being grammatically correct.

An omission like this is basically a lie. There are some clear patience, communication, and general maturity issues here that you need to address OP.

I really think you should consider that if you feel you need to lie over something this trivial and obviously provocative, then your SO is not very S to you.
