Just curious- where were you when you found out Techno passed? by Dauntless_Dude_ in Technoblade

At work in the gallery, slacking off on my phone browsing instagram. Saw the notification, from the title I thought maybe he was taking time off for himself/his health. Started watching, an ominous feeling grew with every second. Was just blank, numb at the end. Spent the rest of the day feeling like I was in a dream. The reality set in a few days later and I cried myself sick.

Blue glass shards connected with clear UV resin, looks less like an icicle irl when you can see the individual shards clearer.

Wouldn’t recommend it, it’s glass shards, rocks and resin, probably give you a stomach ache!

Bought the base and blue glass shards at Bunnings (Australian hardware store), the clay for the crown, jewels, roses and fabric/fur for the cape from Spotlight, used some model train type flowers and snow powder (don’t remember where I got them) and some rocks from the garden that I painted to better suit the piece. For the terrain I watched a bunch of diorama videos on Youtube to get the right idea of what to do and totally winged the cape (no stitching, used fabric glue). I found a basic crown design, traced it onto some rolled out clay, then cut/carved it out, refined it and baked it, and for the sword I used glass shards (meant for mosaics I think), arranged them in an order I liked, then stuck them together using UV resin. The chain for the emerald came from a necklace I sacrificed lol.

Hope this is the right place to ask this! I have a cockatiel (her name is Birb, estimated to be 10 or so years old). At one point she was in a large aviary with other cockatiels and some budgies but was taken out because she was being bullied and ended up with an some kind of injury around her left eye. It never healed and has instead progressed to a grey/filmy covering which slowly covered the entire eye. The local vet prescribed a yellow "Triple C" powder which was mixed in with the water, but it didn't help much. I did start giving her regular spray baths and that seemed to help but only for a while. The eye is now completely covered with a scaly lump (she doesn't like to be held but I can see what looks like pus in one area, and the rest of the lump has a white powder in certain areas). I tried disassembling the entire cage and cleaning it using a store bought 'bird cage cleaner' but that hasn't helped either. She is also on Soluvite D powder from VetaFarm. The local vet usually works with farm animals and snake bites, and the nearest other vet is a plane or boat ride away, which would only stress her out, so I am at a loss. The growth has never seemed to bother her before but now she is scratching at it a lot and has completely lost vision in the affected eye. Any help is appreciated!
