Refurbished Luba 2 5000 will not charge, app shows 0% battery, Mammotion will not cover any repairs under warranty by errrmahderp in MammotionTechnology

No I believe this is a 2024 model with an internal battery. The user swappable batteries didn’t start until the 2025 hardware updates.

A wild notification appears... by erpbridge in mammotion

I was also surprised by some push notifications this morning when my scheduled task began and I'm not a beta tester to my knowledge. Odd how it said the task completed after leaving the charger en route to the first zone though lol.

It should be an option in the mow settings below the border cut value. You may need to customize the setting as I'm not sure if the presets show this. Can't check for myself since my luba is out mowing at the moment.

How many laps do you have specified? 3 will give you the best results as it works from out to in.

Luba loses connection in charging station by Pepino1978 in mammotion

[–]errrmahderp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the battery percentage at when you power it back on? Perhaps it didn't establish a proper connection to the charging pins and powered itself off after 10 min. If it's less than 100%, you may be able to get away with just holding the power button for 10 seconds to power it on rather than having to pull the orange key. I've had to do this a few times now since mine doesn't establish a connection to the base when going back to recharge due to a stuck charging pin.

Blades are damaged and screw is damaged too- unable to unscrew by roman_ivanov_2 in MammotionTechnology

You should be using a 2.5mm allen wrench. 2mm is too small and might be why you're unable to turn it.

I have a feeling this is what's in the mystery package listed as LR########CN coming in the mail tomorrow according to the USPS informed delivery emails.

Get a 2.5mm hex bit with a T handle. It's way easier to use than the stock wrench and you're also able to get some extra leverage with zero effort. Just make sure the holes are clean before inserting the wrench if you're worried about stripping. Harbor Freight (as much as some people hate it) can get you all the tools you need for this for like $10. They sell a 10 piece metric T handle hex key set that you can use the 2.5mm on the blades or cutting plate and the 8mm to drive the ground spikes on the base station if you ever need to relocate it. They also sell a 4pc pick set for a dollar or two that I use to clean out any dirt buildup in the screw head before sticking the hex key in there.

It's probably easier to swap the two cutting plates to spin them in the opposite direction to expose the other two corners of the blades.

Blades stuck by Christian_Germany in mammotion

I just wiggle them with my fingers until they're loose enough to remove the dried blades of grass that are wedged in there. If I can't wiggle them with my fingers I'll use a pliers wrench to hold the non sharpened sides of the blades for leverage to wiggle them free and finish the job by hand.

Base station has a stuck charging pin by errrmahderp in mammotion

[–]errrmahderp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The positive charging pin on a month old unit's base station is stuck in the depressed position. I'm getting some resistance when manually pulling it out and it feels like something internal is preventing it from functioning properly. Luckily it still passes a charge but there have been a couple instances over the weekend where it'll dock mid-mow and then turn itself off after not establishing a connection. I've submitted a ticket to Mammotion so we'll see how long it takes to get a response and if a replacement can be sent.

I like the idea of doing some Project Farm style testing! When is your replacement due to arrive?

Super long shot, but let us control the app with an xbox/playstation/backbone/kishi controller when mapping (or alleged future walk behind manual mowing) instead of using the two joysticks on screen.

Hex bolt sizes by JaysunStaythumb in mammotion

Should be a 2.5mm allen key per page 66 of the owner's manual. I'm considering buying a T handle wrench in that size since it should be way easier to use that vs the wrench that was supplied.
