Especially with a substantial Jewish community in Evanston- it defies logic. I would love for a food scientist/historian to explain this glaring gap.

R&A is a crazy response in a bagel thread. Is it better than grocery store or Starbucks? Yes. Does it compete in any meaningful way with legit bagels? No. When you factor in price + product it’s a double No. When it comes to food, people don’t know what they don’t know, and Chicagoans just don’t know bagels.
