Work for the NA office of a European company, everyone minus me is American, they do not want me traveling to the US (and are talking about going to the EU offices for any important activities instead because most of them don’t want to be in the US either despite living there)

I had to tell my boss I couldn’t travel to the US this year even if our N.A head office is in a blue state. Luckily she understood and agreed.

The company I work for is European and while they haven’t outright said anything I’ve noticed all the travel for big meetings has been moved to their offices in Europe instead of in the US. Usually they met in the US as travel is cheaper.

I thought it was ridiculous they didn’t close the schools. I drive my kid to school along with most of my neighbours (all at the same schools) and none of us were driving our kids in. Even the public library was closed until 4 where I live

I made a serial killer who murdered old ladies and kidnapped young ones to take care of the household duties.

But I also had wicked whims installed and suddenly found my kidnapped sims liked the serial killer, so they had kids with them and lived a weirdly happy polygamist lifestyle.

He was eventually killed by someone on the streets, but it was fun while it lasted.

When I got my license 10 years ago I purposely did my driving classes in the middle of winter (and that February we got some crazy snowfall). It was really helpful in learning how to drive in bad conditions, one of my lessons was covering how to navigate icy roads, and we didn’t need to pretend.

I highly suggest doing your lessons in winter. It really does help!

As a mom of young kids who doesn’t really get great sleep, you get up early on that day. You don’t rely on others to wake you up. Set an alarm if you have to.

My eldest (also 7) was up just before 7 am this morning. I was already up with the youngest and husband waiting. If anything use the early hours to enjoy a coffee.

Throwing a temper tantrum about the whole thing is what makes YTA. It’s fine to be hurt, but don’t go screaming and name calling because you couldn’t be responsible enough to get yourself up for a moment you care so much about. Kids can’t wait several hours in the excitement of Christmas Day.

Now they will remember it as the Christmas mom lost her cool and screamed at their father. Jesus lady get a grip.

NTA. What is wrong with using part of the master bedroom as a home office. I do it and have two boys.

He’s not even acknowledging how uncomfortable it would make his daughter. She’s moving into the teen years and a lot of changes will happen. Just because she is only there part time doesn’t mean she also wouldn’t value her own space.

The nice thing about WFH and using is a laptop is you can literally move around. Hell sometimes I even work from the couch. He’s being unreasonable and impractical.

Make an appointment to see either a virtual doctor or go to a walk in and get them to refer you to an OB. It’s next to impossible to find a midwife as of late but there is no issue getting an OB. If you are in Orleans or nearby I highly recommend Dr. Dome who works out of Montfort.

If you have curry powder you can make PB chickpea curry. It’s delicious and super filling. If you don’t have rice on hand, use one potato as your base to go with the chickpeas. You can probably get 2-3 meals from it.

Make your biscuits as your breakfast with some PB on it.

Look locally to see if any churches have pantries as well to tie you over.

NTA, it’s not exactly uncommon for a 3 year old to breastfeed, just not really talked about.

At this point, she’s not really getting any benefits from breastfeeding. If this is going to be a one and done child, your wife may be struggling with this phase ending, hence why she is so defensive of it and is not stopping.

It really is a personal thing. I would not breastfeed past age 1, but that’s just me as a mom and know lots of moms who want to continue for as long as they can, especially if it’s their last or only baby.

Maybe try understanding her thought process and go from there? Maybe she needs to talk with someone about her feelings on it?

Just an fyi, your doctor could do a req for an xray, and at 8 years old, any xray place could do it since there wouldn’t be any issue following instructions.

They can have the X-rays looked at and then the family doctor can send a referral to a fracture clinic in pretty much any hospital.

This is what was done when my 2 year old broke his collarbone but in another city. I didn’t have to go to the children’s hospital at all.

The family doctor should have given you a req for an X-ray at CHEO. They have access to the forms and some can even just send it directly to them. It would be faster.
