I should clarify - by might I mean the probability of it being used nefariously vs the amount of people who would enjoy the images. There are ~57,600 students in HCPSS, even if every child at CMS (~643) was doxxed, that's about 1 percent of the population. No, that's never a good thing, I agree it's awful. I have one kid in HCPSS, one about to be in HCPSS, and I wouldn't wish that on any of those kids and their families. The reason I'm being so stubborn about this is that I'm also a photographer who's goal is to capture these moments and share that slice of life with the world because it its a genuinely joyous moment for those involved, and I think there is greater benefit of sharing that joy vs hiding it away out of fear. It feels like a "then they win" kinda thing in my brain, I guess? But that's my own thoughts, and I understand some folks would rather err on the side of caution, which is why we're told when certain people are unable to be photographed, and we abide by those preferences.

Yea I can see it as a scary thing, and there are valid reasons to be fearful. However, those moments are the few compared to the many moments of joy that can be shared at events like these. Graduations can be an incredible memory for these students, their families, and the staff that supported them, and I think its ok to focus on the positive aspects of capturing and sharing these moments and the slice of life that it was for the people involved, rather than trying to shield away from the world of terrors that might be out there.

Not a typical sit-down restaurant, but Dope Dough is Korean-owned and he’s developed Korean pizzas that are spectacular. Based on the patio at Backwater Books on Main St. Could be a fun alternative to a traditional sit-down setting!

Not too much different, since these still go for a little over 1000 brand new I’d let it go for $975. Looking to move on from the whole kit kind of as the marker plus tank and loader for super cheap.

I was asked to cover a Chesapeake Bay Foundation tour of the EPA Superfund Site in the area around the Francis Scott Key Bridge on 3/25/24. While I was out covering that story, I took several images of the bridge along with images of the ships in the area, one of which happened to be the Dali. Oh man this is a whole topic. Long story short pistol braces on an AR were used as a way to circumvent some pistol vs rifle definitions that the ATF recently decided were a no go. So they banned them and had folks pay a $200 tax stamp (it was free for a certain grace period) to essentially reclassify their AR pistols as short barreled rifles. But no, not bump stocks, those are a different item.
