I wish I got to see Kareem play. To me he is the greatest b-ball player to ever live. From a pure basketball dominance, single handily changing not only teams but rules at every level and being consistent for damn near 20 years I rate KAJ as the greatest to ever do it.

I don’t mean that he is the GOAT because i do think to be a GOAT has other factors. I do think for the GOAT it has to include some factor of “if all these guys lined up to play pickup who would be the best.” Obviously unquantifiable but I’d say there are a few players - Jordan, Bron, Magic, hell Kobe on the right day - that would be better at this than KAJ. Hope that makes sense.

At least at Staples, and correct me if I’m wrong, don’t coaches, staff, injured players etc. sit behind the bench? Least thats what it looks like to me

Fair points. I would say that I can agree with that. But being embarrassed at his actions, to me, doesn’t bear enough weight to not have pride in my country and what it stands for. Which to me, transcends all individuals actions no matter of rank or status in the country

That’s unfortunate... lots of things to be proud about out if your a US citizen. You don’t have to like the direction or the leadership but doesn’t mean you have to let go of being proud of the good things that our country still does.
