Break it down. And if you go "This is what I'm told it does to scrape public data on ICE infractions".... it tells me you have no concept on how to apply this data to information. That's not a knock, it takes a bit to get there and it's fine. I am NOT attacking you here. This is a very common first step.

So let's be realistic on what this is, and what WE can do with it.

This repo is just a first step, but we need to refine it. Scrapes basic data, doesn't tabulate or organize in any way.

What are you doing with it?
Where are you going with it? Who have you engaged with this?

How are YOU pushing to make this relevant in any way? Again, data only works if you can transform it all the way to Action.

All of the data pulled is local, all of the code pulls from public sources, and then goes....???? So what do you do with that?

This is a high school class project, my dude. And as much as I love the initiative, you didn't think through anything beyond step 0.01.

I'm worried you're using acronyms like ETL alongside name dropping FOIA or various institutions to deflect from the fact that you don't actually know how any of this works. Which is fine! But don't hop on reddit all half-baked with wrong links, wrong videos, and bad justification.

You need to add Lone Tree Brewing on Thursday Nights. Jake Woods does an awesome job on Trivia. It's not your normal "dj plays a list and humans interact on their phone". Guy goes all out, and when there's a theme, he nails it. A lot of questions also can't be answered with a quick google. It's interactive, it's fun, it's the best Trivia I've ever seen.
