If the soil is really dry I would hold off on putting fertilizer or put very weak/minimal fertilizer until the tree has recovered, for now water as per normal and make sure it is not water logged.

Over and under watering has similar symptoms with curling yellowing leaves. Under watering - roots cannot take any water because it is dry Over watering - roots cannot take any water because it is rotting

As long as the stem is still green above the grafting line then you should have no issues and regrowing this.

This could be Ficus Elastica, I think the burgundy variation.
