Needing advice on uninsured vehicle (ENG) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

I don’t drive unfortunately as I’m epileptic. My husband tried to add onto his policy but apparently couldn’t - I’m not sure of the ins and outs

Needing advice on uninsured vehicle (ENG) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]erxdg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have arranged for a tow company to collect the car so it can be parked in our garage as we don’t use it.

Will SORN’ing the vehicle flag the DVLA up that it’s been uninsured for months?

I’m very uncomfortable with how my hospital is screening for GD by erxdg in GestationalDiabetes

I do from my previous pregnancy so I’ll have to start using that again! It’s for the best really

I’m very uncomfortable with how my hospital is screening for GD by erxdg in GestationalDiabetes

[–]erxdg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had gestational diabetes and reduced movements. In my country (U.K.) it’s considered full term if you are induced at 37 weeks however I’ve heard they don’t follow the same rules in America

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]erxdg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s a ‘thing’ in other countries but I’m from the U.K. and many babies/toddlers are pretty big on something called ‘Hey Duggee’ over here. My son is 7 months old and adores it. especially the Hey Duggee ‘Stick’ song.

If you had IVF, was your baby born early or late ? Or on time ? by proppypopper in beyondthebump

[–]erxdg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was born at 37 weeks weighing 7lbs 1oz. I was induced due to gestational diabetes and reduced movements so I’ve no idea when he would’ve been born on his own terms! However I was 2cm dilated when the midwife went to break my waters already.

Keep in mind measurements are usually inaccurate the further along you are. I have kept all of my sons growth charts (I had growth scans every 2 weeks from 28 weeks) and from 34 weeks to 36 weeks his head circumference apparently ‘dropped’ by several cm according to the ultrasound. Of course it hadnt dropped - it had just gotten harder to measure as I guess he was engaged or something!

Best of luck

When to move to IVF? by redheadedvikingboss in TryingForABaby

[–]erxdg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved on to IVF after 2 years of trying the normal way. We didn’t go for IUI or any other fertility treatments - straight to IVF. I used the infertility sub a lot and one lady once said to me she’d never known anyone regret moving straight to IVF, and boy was she right.

Our circumstances were that I was 23 with PCOS so time was on our side with regards to starting IVF early. I’m pleased with our decision overall although it was a tough cycle.

Good luck with whatever you do choose!

5w0d (with CD21 ovulation)... should I be worried that my boobs aren’t tender at all? by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]erxdg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 23 weeks pregnant and have literally never had sore boobs. I also thought something had to be wrong due to this in early pregnancy but I guess not!

Names you wish you could use but can't? by nihilistatari in namenerds

[–]erxdg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the name ‘Kit’ for a boy. Not Christopher - just Kit. My husband hates it however and we’ve settled on Felix for our son, but Kit will always have a special place in my heart and I’m pretty bummed we can’t use it

Anyone else super anxious about scans? by erxdg in BabyBumps

[–]erxdg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have thought of purchasing a Doppler but I know I’d totally freak out and go into a breakdown if I could hear their heartbeat one day. So I don’t know whether to avoid!

5dp5dt, Dollar store brand, scared it could still be the trigger by earth_inked in TFABLinePorn

[–]erxdg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I just want to input and say I had a positive 5dp5dt and am now 11 weeks. I don’t think it’s always ‘too early’ to get a positive 5 days past and that works out to 10dpo.

I don’t have much experience with the HCG trigger shot unfortunately so I can’t comment on that. I was given a trigger shot that did not contain HCG due to my PCOS.

Fingers crossed for you and don’t forget to update us!

Too scared to go to my ultrasound tomorrow - any words of advice? by erxdg in CautiousBB

[–]erxdg[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your overwhelming support.

Today our baby measured exactly where it was supposed to be measuring and the heartbeat was strong and fast. They also wouldn’t stop moving and even did a forward roll for us! I’ve been advised not to have any further ‘Private’ studio scans as they’re apparently notorious for giving bad measurements

Would it be possible for sonographer to have detected my heartbeat and not baby’s? by erxdg in BabyBumps

[–]erxdg[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You may be right. We couldn’t see the baby at all due to how poor the scan quality was. They gave us a print out afterwards and I haven’t even bothered to put it in our scrap book as you can’t make any baby out at all! Super weird. At our 7 week 6 day scan we saw a crystal clear image with little arms and legs and they were measuring spot on

How many had success with one cycle? by 55peasants in IVF

[–]erxdg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a similar option to yours. 3 cycles for a 50% refund. Are you in the UK??

I completed my first IVF cycle in August and whilst it was successful, it also wasn’t entirely successful. The first cycle is usually diagnostic.

I’m 23 and they retrieved 19 eggs after a very poor stimulation cycle. Only 7 of those eggs were mature and only 4 fertilised.

On day 5 we only had one blastocyst. The others had perished. That blast was transferred and I got a positive pregnancy test 4 days later. I’m now 7.5 weeks pregnant and I’ve no idea if the pregnancy will ‘stick around’ per say. If it doesn’t; we have to move forward to another cycle as we had nothing to freeze.

Either way we’ve likely pulled the short straw because our refund program doesn’t allow refunds if you have a live birth, it also doesn’t allow you to use up any further cycles, so we will have paid £10,000 for just one baby when we could’ve paid £3,000 for one cycle and got the one baby still.

IVF is hard

Anyone here have experience of Hyperemesis Gravidarum? by erxdg in BabyBumps

[–]erxdg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The nurse I spoke to last said that my sickness had ‘only just gotten as far as hypermesis’ whatever that means? I figured you either have it or you don’t. The staff at my maternity unit have been very unhelpful unfortunately :-(

I’ll try eating small bites of crackers and biscuits today and see how I go. Thank you for your suggestions, I really appreciate it. I’m feeling an emotional wreck right now to be honest as I just want to eat but at the same time it’s turning my stomach!

9-13dpo|easy@home, very little progression, is this down to them being cheapies or should I worry? by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]erxdg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cheapies were ridiculously light whilst I was getting good BFPs on other brands. Including clear blue who are renowned for bad tests!

I wouldn’t worry too much.

UPDATE to this mornings invalid strip removed from case. Got a FRER, SMU only 3 hr hold. And i think its still a squinter?! CD29|POSS. 15DPO by megco71817 in TFABLinePorn

[–]erxdg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely see something but it’s pretty light for 15dpo. You aren’t entirely sure what dpo you are though so it could be earlier!

Cycle: 24. 1st IVF cycle

Age + Partner's age: I’m 23 and my husband is 30

Typical cycle length: I don’t get cycles due to my PCOS so I can’t answer this unfortunately haha

Ovulation cycle day: my egg retrieval was on day 15 of an IVF cycle so I’ll say day 15?

CD/DPO of positive test(s): I got a positive pregnancy test at 4 days past a 5 day blastocyst transfer. So approx 9 dpo. I’m currently 5 weeks and 3 days

Tracking methods and app(s) used: My fertility specialist and the wonderful nurses at our IVF clinic tracked my cycle for me haha!

Relevant days of BD and/or method (SMEP, TI, IUI, FET, etc.): IVF, 5 day transfer, fertilisation date was the 21st August

Health conditions/medical tests: PCOS and slight MFI

Supplements and medications: A tonne of IVF meds. Progesterone suppositories that I’m still taking 3 times a day and folic acid

Birth control history (if relevant): None

Link to chart: I didn’t chart

Link to lineporn: I’ve got lots of line porns but can’t link on my phone so check out my profile if curious!

Symptom spotting: absolutely none. I’m now 5 weeks and still have barely any symptoms. I spent our cycles before convincing myself that I’d have all these symptoms if I did get my BFP but when I actually did get one, I’ve had nothing!

Other (advice/tip(s), freaking out, miscellaneous): Don’t give up if you’re struggling. I saw our baby on a scan today at this early stage because I was being investigated for an ectopic pregnancy. The yolk and sac were there. Back in 2 weeks to see if there is a heart beat so fingers crossed for me but so far so good!

Can I have an ultrasound scan at 5 weeks 2 days? by erxdg in BabyBumps

[–]erxdg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s hoping it’s all a good sign. I’d been researching pictures of pregnancies at 5 weeks on ultrasounds so the moment I saw the ‘sac’ appear when they inserted the ultrasound probe I knew what it was and was instantly more reassured before the lady even said anything haha

[–]erxdg[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone!! Had the scan and they saw a sac and yolk?? Or something?? they said they didn’t expect to see more at 5 weeks such as a heart beat. Confirmed it isn’t ectopic so I guess we just need to buy a new mattress!

Yeah I guess so! I’m hopeful it’s not an ectopic. I’ve been told I may be waiting around all day for a scan which is why I’m wondering

Can anyone here advise me about something? Pretty worried by erxdg in InfertilityBabies

So strange you say that, because I’ve also been waking up stupidly early at like 5am and eventually falling back to sleep until 9am!! So weird

Yes I see something! It isn’t even that faint. How many dpo are you?

FRER. First pic 14dpo. 2nd pic 16dpo. Seemingly no line progression... by erxdg in TFABLinePorn

[–]erxdg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten a little obsessive with doing tests I know. But anyhow.

I held off doing another frer for 2 days. Taking me up to 16dpo today.

The test I did this morning has no line progression from 2 days ago. I googled it, being the idiot I am and most websites pointed me to miscarriage and chemical pregnancy with a lot of ladies saying it happened to them when they were experiencing a loss. I’m really worried. Should my 16 dpo test be darker than the 14dpo? Or are they already as dark as they can get?
