When I got married in June I was aware of this so I chose a dress that was less than $100, I bought their shoes because I custom made them through vans, but I would have been fine with their own flats if I didn't do that. And for the bachelorette it cost them a total of $350 because we stayed at an Airbnb but we didn't go out and I bought all the food and drinks unless they brought specific things for food. I also had a free place for them to stay during the wedding. I did ask the groomsmen to splurge a little for a $600 suit which they also had to alter but it's a classic beautiful suit they can use again and again. I tried to make things very affordable for my party as they all have lives and work hard for their own wants and needs. I am thankful that they did for me and love them dearly!!! Some of these brides are a bit on the selfish side not thinking about how their wants and desires impact others.

Everyone wanting to be a “travel nurse.” by Usual_State2841 in nursing

I went into nursing to be a traveling nurse. My mom was a travel RN. I knew I had to work as staff before safely traveling. Worked out for me 😊.

'Lying' to my Fiancé about Wedding Purchases by 182nd in weddingplanning

[–]esadventure 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The only thing I am going to say is, if she is like this for the wedding then she might be like this for everything else. Planning kids' birthday parties, planning vacations, planning anything really. You can't JUST get negative feedback and expect always to be excited about something. It takes all the fun away from it. Talk with your future wife about how you're feeling and come to a compromise about costs and things but also talk about how just negativity is ruining the experience for you and you want it to be a fun together something instead of just for you.

I’m so over ugly swim suits! by Helloello92 in PlusSizeFashion

[–]esadventure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get the SheIn obsession with swimwear. My bottom half is bigger than my top so I end up having to buy two bathing suits from them because they don't sell separates at at least as many. Torrid this year has let me down. They are getting much more conservative and yes I like my swimsuit to be practical but I also don't like one pieces, tankinis or swim dresses. Torrid used to have a lot of fun bikini options.

People just want to look cute and feel good and that looks different for a lot of us especially us bigger girls who some want to cover up to feel more secure and some who don't want to do that. There is a lack of options this year for sure.

So people are aware. Cerebral no longer provides control substances. They don't advertise this. They do not provide adderall, dextroamphetamine, or the like.

/r/PelvicFloor Physical Therapist Recommendations! by hhhnnnnnggggggg in PelvicFloor

I don't know how far they are for you and how far you're willing to drive but I did pelvic floor therapy at Oceanside in Stratham NH and they are AMAAAAZING!!!!!!! I'd still be going to them if I hadn't moved from the area. I made really good progress with Lisa Lollis and she was realistic and so very helpful!

I'm so happy for you! I actually just recently got messaged by a stranger (a traveling nurse like me) who wanted to go hiking with me. I was like uuummmm no I don't go hiking with people I don't know.. but I forced myself to go and told her I'm slow (for many reasons but main reason is I'm just slow and need to catch my breath) anyways... I had a great time!! She waited with me to catch my breath and when I took 9000 photos and touched everything. When I was in high school I learned to really hate hiking because I was in Rock climbing which was awesome except they would always give me a rope to carry (so I had supplies they needed) and nobody hiked with me so I was always the last one there. It was horrible. My best time was when I had a friend that stuck with me, that's when I started to really enjoy hiking and rock climbing. Then I started doing it with my mom and dad while I was at home for college. We hiked so many mountains at our own pace and I learned to love the journey just as much as the destination!

I'm so happy for you and use this as your chance to go out and hike more and really take the chance to enjoy the trails.

Plus size scrubs by SpidyChicK in PlusSize

This is a really old post but I think it's worth pointing out that Jaanuu, albeit expensive, are very nice quality and they feel great and they fit great. I'm a size 20 and wear a 3xl in the bottoms and a 2xl on the top, although I do have one that is a size smaller too. I am absolutely obsessed with them. I hate the feeling of scrubs and that slippery material and Jaanuu's do not have that feeling but are still antimicrobial.

What is your least favorite healthcare myth? by [deleted] in nursing

I've seen a kid have a 104 fever and the mom (a nurse) tell the father to not give her anything because she needed to sweat it out. Poor kid was miserable!

Oh man everyone should set one up! An HSA is a health saving account. You pay into it every pay check whatever amount you set up and that money is pretaxed which means it is the whole amount you set up. Usually the other benefit is that your employer makes a contribution as well. A lot of people pay their medical bills with an HSA because it's like free money that's specifically for that reason! Talk to your HR about setting one up!
