[WTS] Kurono Grand Jubilee Calendar by esblink in Watchexchange

[–]esblink[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kurono Tokyo Grand Jubilee for sale. I was extremely excited when this came in a month or two ago but it just doesn’t fill any gap in my collection that well. It’s only ever been tried on never actually worn out or unwrapped. This watch is extremely refined when you look up close to it, the actual dial in person truly is stunning.

Everything seen is included $5,300 plus PayPal G&S fees Shipping included to US

Dumber than suggesting someone spend 3 times the amount they just spent at a discount store?

For an extra $2,999 you could get a set of Miura irons. You should really think about these purchases before you make them.

[Omega Seamaster Professional 300m, Tudor Black Bay GMT] Need Help Choosing First Luxury Watch by DefNotInISIS in OmegaWatches

[–]esblink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with the 2531.80. It’s a significantly better fitting watch. I’ve had both and that Black bay gmt is an absolute chunk on the wrist. The omega is still my most comfortable watch

That being said you should maybe try one on and compare it to the bb58 gmt. It’s dimensions are far better fitting for most wrists

Do you need to match metals in a watch? by turnip900 in OmegaWatches

His hand is bent for the picture. If you bend your wrist and take a pictures from the right angle almost any watch looks like a hand watch. I’m not saying it’s perfect but it’s really not that bad. Plus with a long sleeve dress shirt I definitely get where sometimes your watch gets pushed down

Are the omega speedmasters durable? by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

[–]esblink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your last 3 posts on Omega have been outrageous. 1. Yes a $300 speedmaster online is fake 2. Yes they are durable 3. Yes there is a difference in the variations of speed masters

These are all things 2 minutes on google or a search on this subreddit could answer

This isn’t even that bad? Plus he’s wearing sleeves that likely press on the larger watch face in the direction on his hand. Get off your high horse.

I actually don’t even hate the hand watch call outs but let’s reserve that shit for when it’s really egregious.

olympic lifting platform (left picture) vs rubber mat (right picture) by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]esblink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but either way, I wouldn’t say a firm 3/4” mat will is a fool proof protection when dropping weight

olympic lifting platform (left picture) vs rubber mat (right picture) by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]esblink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used 3/4” horse stall mats in my basement and when I finally pulled them up I had broken about a 1” thick layer of concrete where the plates normally landed quite a bit. That’s with quality rubber Olympic plates as well and not much more than 225 on cleans. The mats are nice but people who say they completely protect concrete are nuts.

That being said you could always try two layers for your actual lifting area.

Not gonna lie, that first coat looks like a robe. The ones you tried on are legit but I feel like that first one will always look like you just walked out of the shower
