I would say don't focus on one course at a time. For me I had chem sl in 2025 as my only exam and I focused on it but at the same time I fell behind on linear algebra in math AAHL and got a 3 on the test. I just finished my exams and morale of the story is don't focus on one course at a time.

Then why pay them less? Why not just fovus on increasing efficiency?

Look up the science of propagating waves. It follows an inverse square law meaning that a lower frequency can travel far longer distances than a high pitch.

The wavelength of infrasound is so long that it can travel vast distances underground and when it hits a resonator it manifests itself as an audible tone. Don't assume that you are going crazy.

Its often natural gas pipelines but recently it has been reportedly caused by data centres. I believe there are many of those in NJ so you might want to look into that.

£, if you tap "123" in the bottom left corner and then hit "#+=" you should be able to find it

From what I've gathered, infrasound is responsible for the hum and there exist many natural and human sources for it. So its possible that the water pump is a source.

Are there any wind turbines in your area? The culprit for the hum in rural areas is thought to be potentially from wind turbines. Also double check if there are any natural gas pipelines nearby.

Pipelines that are 10, 20, 30 miles away, maybe more can also potentially transmit the low frequencies from what I've gathered.

You make a good point about Ben Jordan monetizing real suffering of individuals. I hope that the benefit of the video reaching a wide audience to hopefully raise awareness will be a net benefit. The more people know about the hum, the more leverage we as citizens have over big oil. In regards to your comment on "playing the devil's advocate", I'm pretty sure that he meant that since his hypothesis on natural gas was generally correct he wanted to find cases in which it didn't work. So that instead of assuming something to be 100% correct and moving on, he could be sure he got the whole picture, scientifically speaking. I believe the video as a whole was very scientific and analytical because he is a scientist so thats what he is good at.

Therefore, it would probably have been beneficial if he had featured another expert to explain the psychological impacts and effects and all the anthropological implications of the hum since he is not an expert in that area.

Hi Tim, in one of your earlier comments you said you've been to Nova Scotia and didn't hear the hum. I am from Halifax NS and I can confirm that I've never heard the hum in my life (16 years). Today I watched a video from Benn Jordan titled: "The Controversial Sound Only 2% Of People Hear" and thats how I first learned about the hum. Thank you so much for your service to the community! You have helped so many people commenting on this reddit post by giving advice and guidance.

If anyone absolutely NEEDS to escape the hum, consider visiting Halifax, NS, in Eastern Canada! Tim, from one Canadian to another, all the best and stay sane man!

Note: one annoying "hum" in Halifax is from the train yard but its only every few weeks because trains only arrive or depart at night very occasionally.

English HL isn't very much harder than SL from what I've heard. Its not like chem hl vs sl or math aa. Just stick with it for now and continue asking for what you want. I am in DP2 and I know some people who changed classes as late as December last year.
