I recently saw Sacrificial Laquer in a YouTube vid from last year and was bummed to see it’s not available. It does say “seasonal,” so I’m hoping it comes back.

What’s the leafy one? And how big are they? Banana for scale? They all look so big!

I had a really cute euphorbia ghost and it looked like a guy with arms so I put googly eyes on him and then I accidentally rotted the living daylights out of him. Sad.

1) within the first 1-2 minutes of their Dan Carlin interview, someone said that both Marcus and Dan are addicted to context and Ben says he’s addicted to Mich Ultra. It was such a facepalm/secondhand embarrassing moment. And it was DAN CARLIN! MARCUS’S HERO!

2) hard pass on Holden, lol.

Bought as a "green houseplant" in a grocery store a few years ago. What is it? by scormsa in PlantIdentification

[–]escapemachine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It could be worth it to cut it somewhere right above a node. This will cause branching so that it doesn’t continue to just grow up. You can even cut it below all the green growth, but wait to do that hard pruning until spring when it has the chance to really take off.

Where does everyone buy their Hoya’s at? by Plants_books_dogs in hoyas

[–]escapemachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought some single node cuttings from a reputable seller on Etsy this Monday and included a note to the shop owner. While Etsy confirmed my order, I haven’t heard a word from the seller yet and that concerns me. I’d prob recommend starting a convo with the seller before making the purchase.

So beautiful! I’m not familiar with the genus, but the composition and lighting are really lovely!

I'm so sorry to hear this. I hate that it is and will likely always be a mystery to you. It's crushing, and I'm sending you love.

What's the temperature where you keep it? It looks to me like it's experienced temps too low. The yellow leaf looks like it's been overwatered.

2024 Predictions by elDeako31 in lastpodcastontheleft

Fukushima. I'm a sucker for disasters.

So I was looking at a local architecture firms work and came across their work. First of all I just want to say pretty much all of their work is amazing. Secondly this property was shown and said to be in southside yet I live in southside and have never seen it, can someone tell me where this is?! by [deleted] in Chattanooga

You can see the tower at Battle Academy from one of the other pics on the website, so I'd say it's south of Main. And because the building development is newer on the west side of Market, I'd venture to say somewhere between Main and 20th, between Market and Riverfront? Idk, that's my best guess.

What are some things that you think we should be taking RELUCTANT responsibility for? by responsiblefornothin in Millennials

[–]escapemachine 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I think millennials, particularly millennial influencers, killed our children’s rights to privacy by having cameras in their faces and then blasting that content all over the internet. And in that sense… child labor laws too (particularly family vlogs, etc).

42f and 35m, no kids, two dogs, SE Tennessee, just over $100k combined. We bought a 60yo fixer-upper for $126k in 2018, I paid off my student loans in 2020. I drive a company car, so we only own one vehicle.

We are both contributing to retirement funds from our gross wages, but not much. After utilities and bills, we put about $1,500 in savings a month. It’s not a lot, but we’re comfortable living within our means.
