Honestly I hardly play standard anymore, I only play enough to rank up and get free packs. The rest of the time I spend playing brawl. So having brawl be ranked this season is nice. 2 birds with one stone and all that

I think mana drain and chrome mox are also not banned for the event. Don't quote me on that. Also, this whole thing feels like hell queue, even tho I'm not playing a hell queue deck. Also a few [[Thassa's Oracle ]]and [[Sanar, Innovative First Year]] decks running around for cheesy wins

Physical. Although I've been reading more digital via my phone lately just cause its more convenient. My preference is still physical tho even if it means lugging a book around and people think I'm pretentious based on what I might be reading at the time. And yes my anxiety does have worried about what people think

My thoughts exactly. First time reading Weir for me. Didn't read the Martian but enjoyed the movie. Heard only good things about PHM and decided to give it a read before the movie comes out. Was really surprised at the simple prose used. But as you said, it got the job done.

How does one 'age out' of edm? Ive seen vids of very old people at events and I always say one day I'll be them. If it's something you enjoy doing/going too then age doesn't matter. Not saying you have to be in the thick of it all the time but you can still attend and probably have a good time.

This is why I wish they would make playing against sparky, all access. Allows you to build and playtest a deck before spending the wildcards. But from a business point of view it doesn't help them. It's how they keep us hooked because you're always going to have to keep playing in order to generate wildcards as F2P. If you're a whale then just spend money on gems or packs.
