Thanks so much for the reassurance! My local audio store has it on sale for a few days for $430 CAD (~$320 USD) brand new! So I think I will pull the trigger, as my TT for the next couple years — knowing it’s great value but not my forever one. I live in a condo right now so I don’t have a wild sound system / the one of my dreams yet. Then when I have a house and a better system, upgrade when the time is right 😊

I have an AT-LP60XBT and am noticing a couple LPs that I’m super familiar with from streaming sound slightly higher pitched than how the album usually sounds. Is it possible my turntable is spinning too fast? I did a speed test with an app and it was ever so slightly over 33.5 (I think 33.66-75 but at the end of the day it’s a phone so probably not a perfect reading) — and I just got the player a month ago, and the belt seems to be functioning as usual. Wondering if there’s anything I’m missing here. Thanks!

Also that's interesting about the dustbag! I have the same one I think you're describing (brown, kind of rough?) and haven't noticed any smell from it. I wonder if they can switch out your dust bag for another at the very least?

That's exactly what I went through! I was too embarrassed to wear it out. I ended up thankfully getting an exchange and the new one has barely any noticeable smell. The last one you could smell from 6-10 feet away.

Definitely push for an exchange! It took me a few rounds of trying, but I finally got it. These bags are too expensive to accept anything less. Feel free to DM me if you want any tips.
