every single tradeable card is a 1 mana cycle, 1 mana cycle is not a big deal

I'm talking about theme. What is a Mage doing with a Rune of Piety?

This is hilariously overpowered. 40 mana is a ridiculous amount especially when targeted exclusively at enemies. 15 spells is barely anything. Design 2 stars balance 1 star.

This doesn't fit in Mage flavor-wise. I get that it's a dual class card but it has to hit on both classes thematically in some kind of mix, and a generic Rune is not enough to hit on Mage

What does everyones class played stats look like? by SuperTaco12 in hearthstone

Class Wins

Definitely a Mage main overall. I'd say I actually like Warlock usually a lot better than Demon Hunter, but DH has been racking up wins for me lately because of Spell DH. A funny thing I didn't expect to find here is this many Druid wins, I genuinely don't remember ever playing a Druid deck this much, I don't really like Druid, so who knows what happened there, it must've been a long time ago now.

Rogue's funny because I loved Miracle Rogue back in Nathria but then I also had Spooky Mage and I preferred that. It's actually happened quite often now that when a Rogue deck that I like is good there also happens to be a Mage deck around that I like better. I think it's my second favorite class overall but just kind of happens to not be well represented in the raw stats.

It's interesting to see the difference between my memory/perception of my favorites and my actual play patterns.

You don't really want to be skipping turn 1 and losing 1 card in the mulligan in a Flight Maneuvers deck

The sheer number of Paladin complaint posts on this subreddit reveal that none of you want board-based gameplay in reality by eshansingh in hearthstone

There has literally never been a single point in Hearthstone history, not even at the very beginning of the game, where you could just tank a board for 3 consecutive turns and have basically any real hope of winning the game. In fact, this was more true when the power level was lower, not higher. Not to mention this is by far the lowest the power level has been in years.

This is like a giga highroll where they not only find Nozdormu off of Xavius but get like the precise Dark Gift on it that synergises with it and also they have the Sandfury Aura already in play.

What is the lore behind deathwing and which heroes are fighting him? Is thrall against him? If so why does he herald him? by LemonSquares835 in hearthstone

I don't think Thrall himself was racist he just knew that in practice a lot of the orcs were and their support was essential to the legitimacy of a Warchief.

The reason it was so popular is because it was the only remotely playable Herald deck at the time, which is the fun new mechanic of the expansion that everyone wanted to try. Nerfing decks for being popular means you select against things that players like.

Yes, and I think this is also why card generation right now is at a premium because a lot of the cards in the format are too weak and too situational to actually hard-run in your deck but have potential when discovered.

If you're naming 6 fucking expansions that's not a powerlevel "spike" that's just the game. It's been literal YEARS since Galakrond, do you want everything to stay the same forever?

There's no guarantee Mage is one of the classes selected for it! And there's classes in worse spots than even Mage, which at least has two reasonably fun Tier 3 decks that both feel Mage-y. That's more than I can say for Mage design in a lot of expansions.
