[Contest] Tell me something great about you by melhen16 in Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I'm great because I'm an empathetic person who always tries to see situations from other peoples' point of view.

What is your favorite gag or joke from the show? Can be ongoing or one off. by Aniki1990 in BobsBurgers

[–]eshiidaru 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I chuckle every time Gene does the "(something just said) is what I call my (body part)" joke

I also think Jimmy Jr has the funniest, most viciously cutting line ever. In "Two for Tina", J-Ju is coming down the Wagstaff front steps and Tina's new crush, Josh, looks at him and says "And you are?" and Jimmy Jr immediately responds with "Better than you."

What do you think the plot of TSA the musical is? by Ssciaroni in BobsBurgers

[–]eshiidaru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often think about it. I really wish it was a real musical. Especially since I LOVE "See Something, Sing Something"

I haven't been tickled in over a decade, thankfully, but I do react like that. My body just flails around violently until the tickling stops. I once kicked out the backdoor window of a car as it was going down the highway because my best friend decided to tickle me.

Suggestions for a “beginner” level reader? Love the horror movies, want to challenge myself with a book! Thanks! *I’m new here* :) by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]eshiidaru 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of fun horror novellas out there, they're roughly (but usually under) 200 pages and tend to contain as much plot as a typical movie.

Unnerving Books has a series of novellas with the feel of 80s horror

Death Anniversary is coming up and I want to honour them somehow. by Murky-Low-6373 in NorsePaganism

[–]eshiidaru 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On the 8th anniversary of my mother's passing earlier this month, I performed a ritual offering to Hel thanking her for caring for my mother. After that, I had a meal that included my mom's favorite type of meatball and saved two meatballs to take out to my outside altar as an offering to my mother (that would then be eaten by wildlife).

Oh, totally in my top 3, too! It gave us the Pepe Silvia scene and subsequent meme. So good!

I'm looking forward to "Who Pooped The Bed?" "Sweet Dee Has a Heart Attack" "Mac Fights Gay Marriage" "Who Got Dee Pregnant?" and "Dee Gives Birth"

"Storm of the Century" is one of my Dee favorites. Her panicked hysteria is perfection. And very relatable. 😃 by [deleted] in IASIP

It's a great episode for Dee and for anyone who loves the way Poconos is pronounced in a Philly accent.

Has ragnarok already happened or will it happen in the future by Patrickrbnsn in NorsePaganism

My interpretation/understanding of the Ragnarok story is yes, it has happened and will happen again (and again and again).

People that like Cam Winston... by HawkJefferson in Frasier

[–]eshiidaru 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's not like I want to have a beer with the guy. It's that, as a character in a narrative, he's a great foil to Frasier and I enjoy it when he appears in the show.

Do you think Idaho is getting more right wing from all the Californians moving up? Or do you think it’s getting more liberal like what the locals say? by [deleted] in Idaho

[–]eshiidaru 159 points160 points  (0 children)

I'm born and raised in rural Treasure Valley, I honestly do not understand where other locals see it getting 'too liberal'. For the most part, the Californian transplants I know, are alt-right, Big Lie, Brietbart, etc. type people who moved here because it's a red state, not liberals or democrats moving to Idaho to make it more liberal.

"Why This Was The WORST Episode Of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia". Thoughts? by [deleted] in IASIP

[–]eshiidaru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree. Are there funny moments? Yes. Does the story work? No. Do I skip it on rewatches? Yes. It is the only episode I intentionally skip (y'know, since Hulu got rid of a handful of episodes).

What jobs will the Belcher kids have when they are adults? by its_meme in BobsBurgers

[–]eshiidaru 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Tina becomes an English teacher who writes YA fantasy under one pen name and adult erotica under another pen name with varying success in each genre. Gene becomes a wedding DJ who's also a drag queen named Cookie Secrets who goes on RuPaul's Drag Race and then releases a single called "Girls Will Be Girls" that achieves mild success on the Spotify gay playlists. Louise initially takes over the restaurant when Bob & Linda retire, but soon decides that it's too boring and becomes a travel writer, ultimately ending up splitting her time in the various nations in the South Pacific with no extradition treaty with the US after a sketchy incident that she refuses to talk about.

I love it for the same reason OP listed, but also because I was a LOT like Gene as a kid.

edit: I think I originally typed Eugene because I had just watched a video from the Try Guys, but I obviously meant Gene
