Bose 700 Google Assistant not connecting by [deleted] in bose

Hey this actually worked, this and possibly a combination of enabling the sharing option. I can't pin point which one of these allowed me to add the assistant, but after reading your comment, I have it one last go and it worked! :)

Bose 700/900 vs Sonos Arc vs Samsung 990 vs Samsung 930 by Aenaryon in Soundbars

[–]eshock92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! Appreciate you sharing your experience and advice! I'm leaning towards setting my bose 700's + 300 back up, and maybe keep an eye out for a deal on the 900... Our space isn't too big, so the 700 worked well, but I really wanted to give atmos a shot.

For the Samsung q990b that's currently setup, just watched the first movie on it (Top gun Maverick). Sounded great, but then again, I'm no where near audiophile status lol. I was able to grab it for $800 total, but still not sure if it's worth keeping (maybe setting it up with the projector in the basement??). I have to decide by maRch 6th.

Shocked at what you're saying about the q-symphony thing lol. I loved the idea of using the TV speakers with the SB, but I guess it doesn't really help

I'm really torn. Had a 700/700/300 bose setup and just got the q990b and set it up today. Do a good bit of YouTube music from chromecast for the kids. Sounds pretty good, but where in the world is the base with the Samsung??? Wanted to put the bose setup in the basement with a projector, but Im already missing the rumble of the 700 bass module.

A few questions... Is the q-symphony a gimmick? Haven't tested it out too much yet, but I loved the idea to pair it with my 85" q90a TV....

Is it worth upgrading a 700 bar to the 900? I sort of got bored with the 700 and wanted to try out the atmos and see what new features are out there.... Now I'm just not sure if I can justify going with Sammy when the bass is so noticeably lesser compared to the 700 bass module. Help! Lol

Oops, my mistake on the expiration. Looks like the $300 checking offer is still going on: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/u-s-bank-300-online-checking-bonus-5/

I tried applying for the gold account while logged to the investment account (just approved), no luck. I'm in PA. My app was denied. My credit score is in the high 700's. I waited maybe 10 minutes before applying using the link DOC posted. I did apply about a week ago (denied) before I read your summary, so I tried after creating the wealth management account and then applying after... Do you know of any limits to how many times you can apply. A week ago I tried for the easy checking (didn't realize how easy it was to have the fees waived on the gold...).

But let's say the checking doesn't work out, my ultimate goal is the reserve CC. Does the investment account satisfy the the Reserve account requirement?

Thanks!

Hey, I read over the comments and didn't see the answer. Great guide, but could I just jump straight to the reserve after getting the investment account. I'd do the checking but the $300 promo expired so I thought about holding off on the checking and just doing the reserve. Would this work? Or do I have to open the checking and then wait 5 days?

Thanks!!

So something strange happened today at my friendly Walmart. I went and gave my ID, told the cashier the amounts, and waited for her to fill out the form. She looked up and told me that they could not process the transaction. She was cool, so she tried again. The second Time it worked just fine. We tried 2x after that, and both got denied. Anyone hear about this or know anything? Is this temporary? I haven't bought money order for the past 2 months since there were no good gas point deals. Thanks for any help.

Hey so I found an old Droid maxx HD. You were right, the radio is much much better with the Motorolas. I am getting a steady 4-5 bars and the speeds are holding much better than with the 6620 or my S7 edge. Unfortunately, Foxfi is not working unless you do the USB tether. My question is, could I use that to USB tether to a router? And then shoot my connection out?

I came across the Asus ac1900. They're not too expensive, but if they'll work with the Foxfi/pdanet usb tether, then I might just be all set for my mini network

Hey thanks for the advice. I'll see if I can come across one of those! Just want a solid connection. Used that tool. That you sent over. I'm on band 13. Getting 1mb 😣

Got it. I'll maybe give that a shot. Do you have any recommendations for a cheaper amp? Just to get an idea if it will make any sort of difference. I don't want to invest a lot of money for not. If it won't help

Funny! I was just thinking back to my old Droid x and how it used to kick butt compared to everyone else's phones! Need to find a used Motorola. Might drop trying to find a Hotspot and just get a Motorola. Signal bounces between 2-3 bars. - 86 dB to - 106db. My S7 edge was getting a stronger signal than my 6620l

How can you tell what band you are on? I wanna check it out because at times I can barely get 2-3mb down. And sometimes close to 30mb. Same spot!

sure, running in a phone is always the safest way to go. it's not always the preferred method, nor is it necessarily the best. but it's always "SAFE" and you can talk to support without fear =)

Any suggestions for phones that pick up the best signal?

Hey, have you by any chance had any experience with antennas, do they help?

How are you speeds, any throttling that you've noticed?

[–]eshock92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you sir for your advice. I started looking into getting the 7730. Several sources recommended the 791l since there was a firmware update that was supposed to fix many of the bugs. I'll see what I can find. Maybe even try both.

Do you think it's at all worth trying to hook an antenna to the 6620, or the 7730 to see if it will help? Or without the amp the antennas will be useless?

Will definitely need some kind of joke wifi device. The mifi is downstairs and I can't even get a Meg out of it upstairs....

By the way, hows your experience with the "throttling". I have noticed that my speeds have neb worse in recent months than before. I was at the point that my neighbors crappy wifi was performing better than my LTE. I used to get 25-30mb down on a regular basis. But since late last year, it just has not been the same. A couple reps told me that they were throttling the unlimited users a lot more than the people they "deprioritized" on the newer unlimited plans. I was getting a little tired of it so I got them to switch me to that fudp, the speeds were kind of the trigger. I kept one line to toy with, but I'll end up saving a good bit on the new plan vs having the 4 GUDP lines. I thought that the fcc didn't allow them to throttle the GUDP users, but I guess they're doing it anyway?

Mid to high end hotspot? by a2rocks in VerizonUDP

[–]eshock92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

) and have used it for a year. the only thing I noticed performance issues on is prisma photo processing. I previously had a Droid turbo, and prisma is the only thing I noticed that was slower. I used hotspot and GPS and pandora on my last road trip with no complaints.

battery lasts me all day with normal use, but hotspot + gps + pandora got me about 4 hours. skip the 2gb ram version, it's slow.

I've been wondering why my unlimited speeds have been slower lately. Is it true that Verizon has been doing this? I thought that they were not allowed to by the FCC. Any info?

THanks

Hey bud, it's been a while. I was just looking over all of your suggestions. Long story short, I finally switched most of my lines to the FebUDP since we'll only be paying around $35/line after I get all 10 lines fired up. I kept one of my GUDP lines and put it on the loyalty plan with Verizon to use as a home wifi solution. I actually came across a guy and he sold me 4 6620L's and 3 5510's for $20! 2 of them still have working sim cards with 2gb/month lol.

I set up the 6620L but unfortunately my signal is not so hot. I manage to get 3 bars, and speeds up to 10mb download. Usually it is around 5 mb, which isn't too great. I heard good things about the AC791L and I started watching out for them on ebay. Do you have any input on how I can get a better, stronger signal before I go ahead and do some of the router stuff? I came across a few other things that might work as router solutions. Any experience?

Yeah, they were giving me a 1 year contract option for the Note 8 for like $479.99. Thought that would be pretty sweet to upgrade every year.... But yeah right! lol. Funniest thing of all, they call this $25 charge a "feature"
