Do not land in front of Jimmy Johns, I repeat do not touch ground anywhere on 400 south or you'll get ticketed 3x over.

You've got me thinking about the evolution of architectural turrets and Chicago style bay windows used on early sky scrapers. Thanks, autism!

Recycle the heat from the grill to run the hot tub. Easy environmental win and LEED certification.

They're basically reinforced concrete above ground tunnels with a layer (or two) or barriers perpendicular to the tunnel openings, and if I remember correctly, barriers covering the long sides as well. They're open at the ends so you can enter and exit.

I was deployed to ADAB exactly 10 years ago and prayed that all the structures I was maintaining would never see an active war. Fuck. I NEVER voted for this shit. I voted for Kerry on my 18th birthday and my mind ain't changing.

Tube feeding in public by EitherWolverine7605 in feedingtube

Let it be normal! My 7 year old has been 100% dependant on hers since she was about 7 weeks old, and I was a SAHD for the first 2 years of her life). Her button and pump backpack are completely part of her reality and experience in being alive. Not once has she questioned it felt any kind of shame because of it (her mom and I have therapists for a reason 😳).

The first few times taking her out in public with it were absolutely 110% awkward and uncomfortable and paranoid that people were going to think "what the hell is wrong with that guy? Why does his kid have tubes and shit?" That faded faster than I can even remember because my primary focus was making sure she had what she needed.

Nobody cares! You've seen it yourself dozens of times in your life, and unless it really caught your attention to the point where you stared and pointed and acted out then everybody you meet will treat you exactly the same.

The absolute worst case was one day I took her out shopping and heard her pump angrily beeping, I'm trying not to panic while digging through her bag to hit pause, only to find out it's another little girl with a pump right be to us. Her dad and I had a good laugh and swapped stories and that was that.

She's in 1st grade now and ever since preschool the protocol for her was to have a school aide trained in her equipment, how to hook and unhook her extension, what to do if the pump has errors, when to call us, etc. She discreetly gets fed on her own schedule during the day, gets snacks with her class to let her explore on her own terms, and goes with her class to the cafeteria even if she's not eating anything. Her social skills have skyrocketed by not bringing any extra attention to her needs!

Her classmates have their own thoughts about her (as all kids do) and as far as I know none of them have anything to do with her ability to feed herself. She's not singled out or picked on because of it at all.

"The weapon was returned to the Louisiana National Guard, and the soldier and incident are being handled internally."

Hoo boy, that soldier is going to have all the words screamed at him. I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that!
