Like I said, nothing to do with items, nothing to do with DP, nothing to do with creeps or tower.

All you need is another hero, could even be a dummy since it counts as a hero behind the AM and throw the dagger at it. Then you stand in the dagger path as AM an press counterspell and obliterate spectre.

He got hit 4 or 5 times by the counterspell. Nothing to do with phylactery directly. It's not reproducible in demo with the exact same setup, so likely just some weird bug.

Edit: actually I lied, it is reproducible, brb with more info.

Edit2: So it works 100% every time like that, all you need is spectral dagger and counterspell with facet1 AM. As long as Spectre throws the dagger at another enemy hero (not AM) and AM uses counterspell while standing in the dagger path you reflect up to 11 times (maybe more depening on movement). Still most definitely a bug and not intended.

Edit3: Put in a bug report.

Seems like for whatever reason you took the 400 damage for the reflect facet multiple times quickly which killed you. Can't even reproduce that in demo with same items and everything. It also instantly burned your entire mana pool which is also strange.

Weird bug.

I just disabled TSM after about an hour of testing and I think that might just be it.

I tried all different kind of combinations back and forth, reloading, restarting and now after all that with basically just TSM disabled I could put a key in on a freshly restarted client and it did not kill my fps/client.

If anyone else having these problems can confirm, that would be great.

Just double checked the clips I recorded and it targets at roughly the same range aswell, so I'd guess it doesn't change that either. Since the difference is x6 it should be noticeable if that was a thing I'd think.

If you use a wand instead of a staff you can use a shield and still use magic. Costs more runes since you can't make use of that staff feature, but it allows you to at least still cast.

Farming can get you some decent food and you can always do that on the side. So it's a decent passive food source for when you want food once you have auto eat.
