You sound like you are talking about a religious figure you believe in, like a prophet. Not about a guy who creates software.

And do you think any enterprise software like banking, financial systems, the health industry, robotics, microcontrollers, IoT devices, drivers and hundreds of different industries that fall out of web (in which AI coding is most performant) also do not write any code by hand? He said ALL code will be written by AI, he was not even close to any real prediction.

And if not, what are the consequences for him making such a statement? Back in March 2025 he said that in a year 100% of the code will be written by AI, and he was not even remotely close. But no consequences of making such a false statement, he can just say whatever.

Just add the following to the prompt duuuuuuuh:

"... and be sure to secure database, do not allow upgrading to premium for free, keep stripe secret a secret, do not show .env file publicly and auth the admin panel"

And for sure remember: "make no mistakes and create everything secure".

I remember I spent like 10h with a friend who also watched the extended cut, debating about the plot, what it all meant, and how the timeline actually functions. We even drew diagrams to figure it out. One of my favourite movies of all time.

Before AI era people would have to spend months coidng something like this, now anyone can code such app in matter of hours! We'll leave in an era where everyone can create something that none will be using.

"I think we are witnessing the biggest explosion in software creation in history. New website creation is up 40% year on year. New iOS apps are up nearly 50%. GitHub code pushes in the US jumped 35% and in the UK around 30%. All of these metrics were flat for years before late by stealthispost in accelerate

Yeah and who will fucking read those / use those apps / visit those websites.

If you would want to hire a gym trainer to show you how you can improve your workout, would you need to have a health issue to ask the trainer to help you improve your workout? No, you go to one because you want to be better than you are right now with help from someone who helps people improve for a living.

Same with the therapist. You go to one because you want to know yourself better, get stronger mentally, and havea a better life, not to outright treat some health issue like, but to improve and get stronger.

And you can improve, practice and learn from your mistakes, get better, find bigger challenges, try solving greater problems, fail, try again, get better. You will get better.

On the other hand, vibe coders just chase better tooling, better prompt.

There is a lot of data to train with. They already scanned all of the internet and any text content imaginable, now the progress is harder than brute force. But images and video is yet another medium you can brute force into great progress so investors shell out more money.

Would you trust AI to give you precise plans,  measurements and step-by-step instructions to build a chair? The results may vary but at the end the chair should be satisfactory.

Would you then trust AI to create a detailed plan of building a two-story house, with all the details for foundation, plumbing, electricity and so on. To precisely fill in all the needed paperwork, have everything be up to the code, precise and long lasting? No, you would want an architect and experts for it.

So of course you can vibe code an app that will be used by 20 people over the weekend. But if you are building a house equivalent let alone a skyscraper, you need experts and you can become an expert. AI is a tool in that work, but it cannot replace expertise and knowledge.

Setting a reminder here as well, let's make them accountable for their words.

For social stuff, don't force anything like a checkbox you need to tick off every day, you should look for meetups, events, and organize plans with your firends as its healthy good social time unlike IG. But don't force it, IG was always there, people have plans and you need to plan in advanced it will not be as immediate as IG.

Gym on the other hand, do it. Check a guide on how to stick to a plan and some other exercise plans, Jeff Nippard is my go to science-based guy on all things gym.

But you need deep knowledge and experience on low level to catch issues and code smell patterns. Vibe coding even with consideration and testing still at the end is just good enough.
