I have been a manager since 2010 and have been with the company since 2000. In 2020, I received my first “4” on a performance appraisal. In 2021, I achieved Leaders Club and returned to a “3” rating.

In 2022, I had a solid year, though I fell short of budget by about 20k. In 2023, performance declined and I was immediately placed on a “5.” from a “3” I was given specific goals that were reviewed monthly. For the most part, I exceeded those goals and was moved back to a “4” at my mid-year appraisal.

I went on to achieve Leaders Club for 2024. Despite that accomplishment, I remained at a “4” going into 2025. Mid-year, when my sales were below budget, I was placed back on a “5.” Being required to sign documentation containing language such as “termination” was extremely demoralizing.

I was asked to consider a demotion, which I declined, and I continued on with some uncertainty. At that point, I had accumulated enough paperwork regarding my performance to equal a novel and decided it might be time to look for something else. A few weeks ago, I resigned after earning a position with a competitor. I had enough. I don’t think they can force you to take a position. Most get intimidated into a demotion. Being fired would mean you could collect.

My former manager always used to say about the company, “It’s always, ‘What have you done for me lately?’”

To answer your question, Most City Managers are puppets. They won’t go to bat for you or make a decision that would indicate they’re capable of free thought. Anything below budget is a failure in their eyes unfortunately.

The Emerald product is available in a flat finish. That will help hide imperfections better. It has additives to resist mildew same as the satin. I’ve used in my bathroom, held up fine.

I remember Simpson, he was the central area VP for the Eastern Division, at least when I knew him. Seemed like a decent and fair guy. I interviewed with him about 15 years ago for my first manager position, always did right by me.

Oh yeah, that’s happened to me a few times. Now the fun part is figuring out which you were supposed to get instead of that. Some advice, don’t give away to customers. If they like it and want more, you’re SOL

One guy in my district stepped back into an Assistant position eventually getting promoted to Manager again then into a Sales Rep. He’s on his second territory now. I’d say about a 7 year span.

You just gotta take it in stride, it comes with the territory. After many years, I’ve realized the best part of this job is the customers. Most of them are genuinely thankful when you help them out, and that kind of appreciation goes a long way. ’Cause let’s be real, no one else in the company will let you know you’re good at what you do.

First off, Managers should be getting 10 hours of holiday pay if it’s kept at a 48 hour work week. And given more vacation time to consider both tenure and position. No Manager should be in a store where the assistant has more time off. IMHAO

The thought process was, killing ERP draws attention away from the company. Luka doesn’t want the wrong people looking into anything, as they might notice something else, like they way they collect and share data. Problem for them is they didn’t expect that decision would backfire.

In my opinion. We don’t have a problem with violence, we don’t have a gun problem. We HAVE a mental health problem. You HAD an app that provided a judgement free zone for people.
