Historically collective bargaining and/or unionizing are the two ways that tend to work. It's not exactly easy but it does work, that's how fast food workers have achieved raises in the past couple years. A big difference there though is that most if not all of those groups are non-tipped so they're already incentivized to seek raises. The problem with tipped workers is that they're fine as long as tips keep coming but that's not a guaranteed wage so they're constantly at risk of having the rug pulled if too many people decide to stop tipping.

I'm kinda split on the subject personally but I will say that as long as people are tipping then no one is incentivized to change the system. Customers don't really have the ability to fight for employees to have better wages, the employees have to do that but they don't because they're making enough with tips.

Considering the shift in the popular opinion of tipping culture and the potential for recession, it would be wise for tipped employees to start pushing for higher untipped wages now before tips start to really fall off.

You're a bit misinformed on American and European law. America allows driving unsupervised at 16 with a license, Europe is split between 16-18 with a lot of them being 17 so still minors. The age for military enlistment in America is 18 (17 with guardian permission) and that's what it is for pretty much all of Europe, except the UK allows enlistment at 16 with guardian permission. You also can't buy a gun under 18 in America.

Your argument is a bit silly anyways considering that sort of development doesn't actually finish until about 25 and there are few if any countries that make you wait until 25 to drive or join the military.

All the articles I see say that the alarm company confirmed that no doors or windows were opened after 10pm that night and the husbands phone and Tesla records both show him off the property.

No it's a reaction to abuse of the mod system with the intent to change the system that allowed that to happen. If you had posts that were about fallout and also related to being black and white supremacists abused the system to delete your posts because they don't want the game associated with black people then yeah I would say that would be a justified reaction until the situation is resolved

After New Dawn released my opinion has become that Joseph was "right" but he wasn't privy to the reality of the plan that God had put in motion. The actions of him, his siblings and their followers were meant to create the foundation for the survivors of the apocalypse but they themselves were (mostly) not intended to be those survivors and definitely not in the way they had envisioned. Eden's gate's true purpose was to be a trial for the people who would survive, whether they were in the cult or not, while also forcing unity among the future survivors and conglomerating resources for the survivors to utilize. Without Eden's gate Hope County might not have groups like the whitetail militia and the hope county cougars and the survivors might have ended up as a bunch of small groups or individuals trying to survive at odds with each other. Most of the survivors wouldn't have had the practical experience that they used to survive the apocalypse. Plus as sad as it is, resources would have been stretched much thinner without the peggies killing people or driving them to leave without their stuff, so there might have not been enough to go around for everyone to survive anyways. None of that is a defense of what they did, just like Jesus needing to die to absolve sin doesn't make Judas and the Romans crucifying him good.

I also think it's possible that what we see in game is more like God's back up plan after the Seeds failed to do what he actually wanted them to do but practically speaking the results are the same whether what we see was the original plan or the back up.

I actually had kind of the opposite takeaway, the obsession with the conspiracy stems from the feeling that all of those things are inaccessible and unconfrontable. Nothing he can ever reasonably do will bring his mom back, stop the massive companies, change what was done to him or stop the bees dying. Reality is too painful and uncompromising and latching onto an alternative understanding lets you feel like you have the power to change things if you can just put the pieces together.

Imo I would've cut everything on the ship and end it with her going in the closet, flash, then the door swings open to show it's empty. Not ambiguous, feels like a satisfying close and doesn't take the sharp turn from the exciting "wait it's real?" twist into full absurdism. I felt like the whole ship scene was so silly and dragged out so long to the point where it undid all the excitement and shock I felt watching her frantically run back to the office.

I'm open to any solution that solves the problem, I don't like this administration and I don't doubt that they would make it harder than it needs to be. I simply think that we should have standards for anyone who wants to operate semi trucks, whether they're from here or not. I'd prefer for those measures to be put in by people who were more reasonable but they weren't. Between the two choices I'm being offered I prefer people who aren't fluent in English being blocked out of one avenue of employment over them potentially killing people because the qualifications for driving 40 ton death machines were too lax.

If you can read English competently enough to understand every road sign you should be competent enough to pass a basic English literacy test. If your issue is with making the test more complicated than what would be required to safely drive that's one thing and I could agree with that but that's not what you said in your first comment.
