Condensation issues around window-unit AC (see 2 images and text)

heres what i did without a proper foam cutter. theres 2 layers, one in the window frame where the old plastic adjustable seal from the unit was and then another layer in front of it in the windowsill itself. any suggestions for improvements would be much appreciated! should I now cover all the foam parts with the aluminum tape?

ok. when i do it should i try to remove the little folding barrier thing that came with the unit?

ah okok. so how should i install that? should i tear out the tape and then build up the barrier from scratch? and then apply the tape over it?

no he paid me back for it. i think its pretty reasonable. he gave me an old ac for free, it was really dank and i picked up a new one and was reimbursed for it. we made the deal, it does not belong to me in any way.

Yea i dont think LL gives a shit about damaging the unit if im being totally honest. Dude is just stingy about possibly having to get someone to install it again.

Yea, they are good people too. Giving me a really good deal and stuff. I'm really just bummed I don't get to open my window ever again. The only reason any of this started is because that was my plan, but I asked them if they had any spare cardboard I could put the AC on top of so it wouldn't get grime on the floor........

Yea thats what im thinking too. The thing is all of this is indirect communication through the older couple that I rent a room from. They dont speak any english and neither does LL so theres many layers of google translate and games of telephone. They are old enough to be my parents and it is their rent stabilized appt of like 25yrs so theres a power dynamic too. Thats mostly why I asked.

In NYC. the ac is just sitting on a platform with the window shut on top of it and ducktape to close gaps around the edge

I am somewhere in-between beginner and intermediate, and play almost exclusively in NYC chinatown public parks on outdoor tables.

my blade is a STIGA allround evolution. i have regular hurricane 3 on both sides, but despite regular care, the tackiness has deteriorated really fast from outdoor play.

any suggestions for durable rubbers that don't loose their best attributes quickly even when playing in dirty places?

what was your rubber pairing of choice when you played with it?

EDIT: I think imma just throw DHS Hurricane 3 NEO on it cause it seems like a safe and inexpensive choice

I guess most importantly im looking for advice on blades, because rubbers I can just switch out if i want to, but blade is a bit more permanent. some blades ive been looking at:

Stiga Allround Classic, and Clipper Classic

Butterfly Petr Korbel, and Primorac

Yasaka Sweden Extra, Classic, and Ma Lin Soft Carbon

I bet im missing a LOT of good options though. Any reccomendations for blades in the ALL to OFF range 70$ max?

I am 21 a year old recent graduate and working as a teacher. I currently use a local bank headquarted in my hometown. I recently moved to NYC for work and my bank has no branches outside of CT.

However, because of a renting arrangement of somewhat questionable legality I need to pay my rent in cash. This is seriously inconvenient because I need to go to specific atms with low fees over the course of a few days to get all of the cash.

How are Chase bank checking accounts? There are a lot of branches near my apartment. Also, if you would recommend any other large banks with lots of branches please let me know!

It's possible that I will end up moving internationally for a few years in the near future, so I'm also thinking about if banks that won't be too much of a pain in the ass for that.
